Thanks for this. I had spent hours checking them out on Amazon. This collar was on my short list. It seems that expensive brands or not some people end up with duds. Fingers crossed I get a good one.

I was so grateful to see this video. As I get older, technology is something I just seem to stay away from more & more. But, I just adopted a dog that obviously hasn't had a lot of training, even the basics. As much as I adore this boy, I need to instill some manners in him. I bought the Bousnic & it just sat for days....waiting for me to tackle the tech. But your video helped me relax a bit. I pray I'm able to go forward without too many hiccups. But we'll see. Otherwise, I'll be searching KZread for more help. But your video really helped me. Thank you!

@@JSmith-nc6np Update: I did try as suggested using a dish of food that he loves. But again, it didn't seem to matter how far away from him the tone was. He still immediately sinks down, as if he's expecting to be hit, then stops eating & comes to my side. In my opinion, he then acts as if I've just broken his spirit. It's heartbreaking! What on earth could have happened to this poor baby!? I needed to train him recall though. When I first got him he seldom came when being called. I am disabled & we have a very big yard, about an acre & cannot always go after him. So instead of the e collar, I have been using clicker training with a high value treat. Now he's doing very well with the clicker, coming immediately when I call his name. But, I really wanted him to be trained to the e collar. So I thought I'd click, then press the tone at the same time (not easy btw..lol), then treat/praise him. I tried both, with a dish of food or just treats. But when he hears that tone, no matter how far away, he loses all excitement/happiness & any type of positive reaction. Like I said, it's like his spirit is broken. I may keep trying but we'll see. I feel horrible doing it when he's obviously been traumatized.

How’s the e collar working? Is the price too good to be true?

I just bought one, and am trying to figure out what to do with all the doo-dads that came with it. Your video is helpful to a point, but I wish you'd started right out of the box, explaining where everything goes first, for those of us who have no aptitude for tech and find the instructions pretty useless.
