Great video from Bournemouth. So many lovely things to see and do. I have been there briefly a couple of autumn days many years ago with a group and it was blowing a lot. I walked alone along the cliffs to the next pier and back, and that was great and I enjoyed the views and the solitude 😂. Now after this video I would like to go on a solo trip and really enjoy the city for a few days. Thank you 😊

​@amineboujida1276 Eastbourne doesn't compare to Bournemouth. Bournemouth is the best in uk.

The beach at Bournemouth Pier is where smugglers would unload their contraband from France. They would then take it up through the gardens on wagons to local villages. This was during the Georgian period of the 1700's. There is one written account of a battle that took place at Bournemouth Pier between the smugglers and the custom revenue officers. The smugglers won.

What you state did happen in the area but Bournemouth wasn't founded until 1810, they also used to smuggle stuff into Poole, there are apparently still tunnels under the Quayside and Old Town, the area has a long history of piracy, the chalk stacks of Old Harry's Rocks to the west of the bay are named after the pirate Harry Paye. If you go to Poole Quay in mid June they have Harry Paye day where everyone dresses up as pirates and has a bit of a party.

Hi Jacqueline, thank you for watching!!! Bournemouth sounds like a lovely place to study! The water in the UK is generally very cold - added to the fact that the weather doesn't generally get too hot (most times at least). So I wouldn't call it pleasant for sure 🙈 but if you are around on those less common hot days, you will surely enjoy the water too!

Is there a lot of unskilled work, even out of season?

I live in Bournemouth different story when you ain’t visiting homeless is rife and do is drugs and alcohol. And a woman was raped in those gardens few years ago whilst sitting in the bench

That is terrible and it honestly breaks my heart 😔 Unfortunately the world can be a cruel place and there's a dark side to many beautiful places out there

Things to do in Bournemouth ... Avoid being mugged by the street-beggars. Avoid being stabbed by feral teenagers. Avoid the drug-dealers.

Absolutely rubbish it's a town full of crime. And drugs very an safe at night
