Your birds are so beautiful! Such variety and brilliant colors. I love how they are so protective of their babies, but still allow you to handle them without biting down. We've had 4 successful clutches of parakeets to hatch. The babies are amazing! 2 were rejected by the parents, and despite our best efforts, they passed. 1 was too many for our last clutch. Mom and Dad could care for 3, but not 4. The fourth was being crushed under by his older and much bigger siblings. So we pulled him, fed him, and he us the tiniest little fellow we've ever seen! A literal half-pint, so we gave him the name of our favorite little guy=Bilbo! He is now 2 years old, and they all have done extremely well!

Amazing Thankyou so much for sharing 💛 ☺️ my partner just got me a pair of Burke's they already love each other so much and I am hoping to get some baby's soon it's winter here in Australia I have them inside and warm they have a box ready to go and I can't wait too do a video myself to show you 💕

Hi Rosie Bird, I bought your book, it is fantastic!!! I read everything I can about birds but it's really hard to find more than a few pages about Bourke's. She is a very sweet hen and wasn't even hand fed, just handled and loved. She's had a sweet personality from day one. We love her.

So good to see the babies have arrived, i am hoping to get my little Dusky (who is a chick from Peaches & Stormy) a friend this summer hoping there will be a Lutino female (preferably hand fed) always makes me smile to watch your videos.have a wonderful day!! :)

Thank you. Is Dusky a male and do you want a mate for him? If Dusky is female then a sister is a good choice, otherwise maybe not. We do have another pair that produced a Lutino last year, although it was a male. One of their three babies has red eyes, so I will send in a DNA to determine its sex. Stormy is a Normal (wild color) Bourke. He is mature, so his blue has brightened over time.

Hello, sorry this isn't about the video but I have a couple of bourkes and their baby just hatched but they stopped going in their nest. Idk what to do bc it's only a few days old but the baby is getting colder and isn't fed. I want to try to help it survive but I don't have to adequate tools to do that, I don't have anything to warm it or the right food to give it. Please anyone answer quickly bc i feel sorry for it and I don't know what to do 😰😰😰😰😰. HELP

A Rosy Bourke breeder told me that hand fed and socialized Bourkes make bad breeders. Is that true?

Sounds to me like this STUPID PERSON wants to sell her own wild birds. Have you seen our videos? Our tame Bourkes are much better parents and more productive than those that are not tame. I'd weigh our high productivity against that of any other breeder any day. :-)
