Boundary Waters Canoe Area: June 2021- A Stuart River Journey

Фильм және анимация

For this trip, Gopher Adventure takes to the Stuart River in the BWCA, in search of fishing, scenery, waterfalls and wildlife. This trip is laden with portages, some of them quite long, and is not for the faint of heart. However, people willing to put in the work are usually rewarded with great scenery, solitude and good fishing. Join us as we venture into the wilderness!

Fun trip! Looks like the fishing was great! Laughed at landing the fish by its tail. :) Nice duct tape repair job. Thanks for sharing the map at the end - helpful for planning purposes. Enjoy your future trips!

Nice that you got to the important part of the video quickly, fishing for walleye.

Looked like fun! Just got back from a trip to the south arm of Knife a few weeks ago. I wish I could spend my whole summer up there! Nice shout out to the Tumble Homies on the Nalgene too, my favorite podcast.✌️

Hey Tony, thanks for some morning entertainment as I chill in my hammock on Good lake, right by Hoist bay.Got some signal, and I couldn’t wait to check this out. I’m not solo either, feels different, but he’s a good buddy and new to the Boundary Waters.

Another good one Tony. I'll be up there July 9 starting a 7 day out of EP14 with the family, covering a lot of the same lakes as you in your LIS North video. I hope we have as good of a time as it looks like you guys did on this trip.

Peter M, have a great trip. We didn’t do it on this trip, but make sure you take the time to check out the portage to the Dahlgren River (located on the NW side of Stuart Lake). It’s got beautiful old growth forest and a waterfall at the end.

I took the wife to Stuart two years ago. The campsite and many other areas look so familiar. When were you there? i was there in late June.
