Bouncing Swimbaits For Walleye

Спорт

Bottom Bouncing Swimbaits is a NEW Walleye Technique that I’ve been working on for the past two yrs. Finally with the introduction of the new 3.8 “ Berkley Champ Swimmer Swimbait it all comes together.
Bottom Bouncing For Walleye is quite possibly one of the most productive Walleye delivery systems. Now with the right combination of High Definition Swimbait & a short 3 ft leader you can fool walleye into closing in for the bite.
Using the 3/32 VMC Drop Dead Weighted Swimbait Hook keeps the bait attached & weighted just right to stay buoyant which eliminates spinning.
I
By adding a 3mm Rattle Chamber into the Swimbait you increase your chances. This completes the rig & brings sound into the equation.
Enjoy the chase as they close in & crush this New Walleye Fishing Technique. I know they did for me, time on water was a quick 3hrs I had to my self this day.
Enjoy the footage

I love catching pike when walleye fishing. You get used to just light bites and fish that do not fight that much and then a pike hits it and wham.

Definitely give it a go. I’ve tried it on multiple bodies of water. Reservoirs, northern lakes, clear water to murky. It catches walleye.

WOW, thanks for this info!! How much line between the lure and bouncer? AND how far back are you trolling the lure? Thanks a heap. I figure the saugeye will clobber this rig too. :)

Bouncing Swim Baits I tie 32” leaders, a little shorter than if I’m pulling spinners. Same as bottom bouncing any other Spinner rig, bouncer touches bottom & let out 3 more feet. That’s about it. They will crush it. It’s a deadly technique!

Just a 7 ft M ST.Croix Premier. Nothing crazy. If a guy had a 7’4 or 7’6 M it might handle the 3 oz bouncer a bit better.

25 ft on / around a mid lake hump. I would literally use the exact same rig in 10ft - 40ft with exception being a different weighted bottom bouncer. 8-10 ft likely 1.5 oz, 10-15ft 2oz ect. With the paddle tail I’d probably stay a bit heavier on the bouncer than I would if I was running spinner rigs. Check out the video description for other details. This technique will catch fish.
