BOUGHT A SHOEBOX FULL OF VINTAGE SPORTS CARDS!
Спорт
A few days ago I received a call to purchase an old shoebox full of 1950's and 60's sports cards and I was surprisingly shocked with what I found inside.

Really just beautiful cards, when card collecting was about the basics. No autos, no patches, no numbered cards. It’s why I love older cards, basic cardboard. Loved every second of this video…
Entertaining as always. ❤ the channel. Those vintage cards were cool to see. That Nolan card is in all our hearts. In 90 flea market a beat one asking $650??? Enjoy your weekend.
Really great pickup! Glad the chat remembered my claim on that Mantle! 😉
Good lord, what a great pick up! Thanks for sharing.

Nice haul! I love rose carew rookies. For sure a bucket lister.
amazing! great pickup
What an awesome score there, congrats Jon 👏
Awesome find!😊
Thanks it brings me nice memories of my childhood. I was born in 1959. The first baseball cards I bought were the 1966 semi high numbers.
Nice acquisition! The 68 Rod Carew was well-centered - rare for that card.
That was awesome
Fantastic finds, Jon. Make sure you go back through those football cards. There was an Ernie Ladd card in there with some good value for wrestling collectors.

Thanks Joe!
Why can’t I find some buy like this one?!?! Nice pick up!
‘64 Mantle find !! Awesome. Congrats !! And I luuuuuuuuuve that raw “well-loved” ‘56 Feller. I collect vintage / PreWar players from IOWA. Feller = The Heater from VanMeter (IA).
2nd year gale sayers card at 31:00, that could be a score, great box!
I just covered Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Bob Hayes in my NFL draft blog: he's the only player to win an Olympic Gold Medal & a Super Bowl ring during his career.
Just so Cool
That Nolan find is iconic !!
The ‘58 Topp Mantle All Star is a triple print, which is probably what keeps it affordable in SGC or PSA 5-6 and even higher condition. Great card and love that it’s the first year Topps made All Star cards.
Love that '64 Mantle. 10 years ago at a card show I bought a very heavy, sealed "hot pack". Not sure the year, 2010 Topps maybe. Went home & opened it hoping it wasn't gonna be a dud pitcher relic. As a Yankee fan since '78, life was perfect that day. My "hot pack" relic odds were 1:134,000. A '64 Mantle RP (old & grey) jersey relic card #'d to 36. Hated having to sell it a month later, for $225.
Quite simply the finest episode Jon Jabs has ever put out on YT. How do you top this? I've been watching you since the beginning A++++!!!!

Thanks for saying so! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you!
Nice find, the 1967 Philadelphia has a few nice cards. Leroy Kelly RC. Nice . :et me know when they go up for sale
Beauty Carew RCs!
the William Harridge A.L. president card is from 1956 Topps.
Very nice buy Jon
The 1968 with the white at the top is not a miscut , Its a Topps Milton Bradley which was part of a board game topps made cards for , they are more rare then regular topps

Imagine that, a Nolan Ryan rookie found in a random shoe box of cards.

Not real sure when some of these will go up but sometime soon!
Rad Jabs with an epic buy!!
Nice pick up. Another big name you passed up is Dave Jones. Also known as Deacon Jones. Defensive End for the Rams. 29:08
Great freaking episode. Any chance I could buy any dallas cowboys cards from the stash of awesomenes?
Incredible find. Not many lots left like this one out there in the wild!! You should try and build that 1967 Philadelphia Football set….there are a few HOF rookies I think, but no one special (Tommy Nobis may be the best one 🤔 it’s been too long, I don’t remember) but it’s a small set and I bet you have 50%-75% of it or so from this box alone. It’s a set I wish that I had. (Dave Wilcox 49ers is a definite HOF rookie in the Philadelphia cards)

I think I’m going to try and put together the 67 set! It’s not too often lots like this turn up these days.
Wow, what a find. Congrats on the Nolan RC. Also, Earl Wilson shouldn't go on the omen list, as he is a member of the Black Aces.
I need that bob feller card!
At 39:25 you have The Big Cat Ernie Ladd, he was a pro wrestler!

Okay Rad Finds, seriously nice buy.
The Bernie Casey football card, he played U.N. Jefferson in the Revenge of the Nerds, among many other films.
Kool
I’m pretty sure I saw a Lance Alworth rookie in one of your stacks. It’s a pretty pricey rookie of a great !
Best deal.
Nice cards, what did you pay for that box?👏👍😎🇺🇸
I have that Joe Morgan in a PSA 5.
My man treating HOFer's like Junk wax lol

Some of them somehow got mixed back in with the majority of commons during the original shuffle.
I hope you AT LEAST paid $1500 for this collection, not like $500 like most people would offer.

The Kansas comet. 3rd best running back in Bears history
Id love to get one of those Tommy John from you if you’re selling!
Yep the #1 card is a 1956.
Oh man, I'd love that wrinkled carew for the 67 set I'm working on! Are you selling?
Ridiculous score on the Koosman Ryan rookie card.
Can you tell me cost of box. Great pickup!
i'm getting to this video a couple days late but i noticed and maybe some others have already commented about this players card u simply glossed over without even mentioning it or his name but he is a hall of famer for "Da-Bears" #40 Gale Sayers time stamp :30:58.
Good Lord. I would pay a couple bucks just to rifle through all those cards.
@30:58-that's a Gale Sayers rookie card! Wait, is that second year?
Very nice cards! Will you sell the football cards from this box?
