You my friend are the Orson Wells of fragrances. You have the perfect way of giving your viewers a story behind every scent that you review. Orson Wells did it the exact same way and that's what made him great and you are doing a excellent job.

One of my favorite old school fragrances. I bought this fragrance when it first came out in the late 80s. I finished the bottle finally and went on to other fragrances...A few yrs ago i found it on the discounters market and picked it up again at a very reasonable price and wow..it brought me right back to the memories of the fragrance from back in the day.. I cherish this fragrance because even though its bold..its still bright and though its green essentially..its a warm enveloping scent. I do pick up on the rose especially in the mid notes...its a bit feminine but yet is rich and masculine at the same time..........I will always have a bottle in my collection..It smells quite different from any other fragrance that i have experienced. Extremely elegant primarily..not a casual scent really...its too rounded out and even floral for a uneventful day.

Omg, thank you. You and Dan (UK smelly) both pointed me towards this and I can honestly say after a few years on my fragrance journey, I found what I was looking for. Crazy times, a Polish guy walking over a UK car park asked me what I was wearing this morning. Say no more....Love your channel Lanier, you have an element of class that I love... ( I also get the Cerutti 1881 comparison but this is so much better, but probably a copy)

Lanier, please take time to do an in depth review of this edp and Jaipur edp. I tried selling these two from my trimming down perfume collection but my townfolks (young adults and 30’s up) doesn’t appreciate the beauty of these two. They find them unattractive and average on their skin and on paper. They’re both even too underrated in fragcomm especially Boucheron pour Homme. Be waiting for your warm and intellectual thoughts/reviews. Cheers.

I vividly remember in the late 80's/early 90's purchasing a bottle Boucheron, thinking it was so sophisticated and spending more than I ever had ever spent before for a fragrance. I so thought this was top shelf, such a high-end fragrance as compared to what I had previously purchased and worn (and it truly was). Thank you for reminding me of such great memories! I still like the house and scent.

Hi Lanier...i had this fragrance back in the day when it was released...i loved it...even though now its considered kind of barber shop(ish) ..I recalled it being very rich and beautifully enveloping in a very elegant refined way. I never did get another bottle then ..as it was ahead of its time i belive in that it was so full of notes and somehow "feminine" for a man to wear then. I have been eyeing it for a long time on the frag discounters and the price is totally reasonable....and as you mentioned, there were many other fragrances (new adventures) that i have been wanting to try. But now that i saw your quick spot here on you tube, i will go for a re adventure w/this beautiful scent. Thanks again in nudging me to buy another bottle......I did notice then that because that it was so rich in its formulation that it was not well recieved on men(at that time) in general. But as you said.......wear what you like......thanks again for a wonderful re introduction to truly a great fragrance.........Bob Perricone.

thanks Lanier...the juice smells less floral(although it is) than it did back then...not sure if its a reformulation or just that today mens frags are so much richer...not sure if thats why back then i thought it was not as "manly". Today thank god we can feel less constricted about what to wear................all the best always..i love watching your reviews as the are so calming and informative to me..........you truly are a sweet man...and thats a good thing.........Bob

Oh my word you have to see it...such fun with a very wonderful very young Maggie Smith performance. She wipes the floor with Richard Burton in her scene with him.. Over the top performance by Orson Wells, Margret Rutherford steals the film and won an Oscar too boot. A star studded melodrama made in a hot rush to cash in on Liz and Dick's Le Scandal in Rome the year before and pushed into theaters at breakneck speed to beat CLEOPATRA to the screen. The Burton's story in the film is based on an incident in the marriage of Vivien Leigh and Sir Laurence Olivier. So Daniel, in short ...rent this movie! Welcome back Daniel so happy you got your internet in order. Cheers my friend.

Yeah, I was envisioning my evening of dinner and dancing at the Carlyle Club followed by wishful romancing, no doubt! Good luck at the gym...go heavy or go home as I like to say. LOL! Actually, I'm not a spring chicken (mid-50s) and started going back to the gym after having my right-knee replaced due to service related injuries three years ago. The secret is we old guys need to work smart and leave our egos check at the door. Sure, I outwork probably 80-90% of the twenty and thirty somethings, but I always start light, use good form, and increment resistance/weight but how I feel. Injuries defeat the benefits of exercise. Also, exercise should be rigorous so build-up slowly to where you're doing shorter higher intensity interval training, good form, and putting some muscle into your workouts. I walk every day (it's great exercise) but you won't see me running or spending countless hours doing cardio. Men and women (especially we older folks) need to perform vigorous weight training for myriad health benefits. We don't work in the factories or on the farms any long and we men have become a bit these past 40-years. Our dads and grandfathers would kick our asses. LOL! Also, you don't need a gym membership in order to get ripped...just walk 30 minutes per day, do the old tried and true floor exercise, and invest in a quality set of exercise bands. I use 'em while traveling and my girlfriend has started using them on a daily basis to tighten and tone. I recommend these: www.amazon.com/PREMIUM-Resistance-Bodylastics-ANTI-SNAP-Components/dp/B01H5K10VK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1487174873&sr=8-6&keywords=bodylastics+resistance+bands Anyway, I encourage and salute your going back to the gym. Cheers, Lanier!

Nice review about your initial first impressions -- one year has passed, it is time to do your follow-up review, hahaha! I am trying to decide between the Boucheron Pour Homme and Habit Rouge EdP. If I could have your opinion on wearing these two fragrances at the office, then I will not coerce you to do a follow-up on the Boucheron.

Well, you steered my attention towards the Boucheron Pur Homme, so that I can do some pleasant discoveries on my own -- and so a further review from you will be unnecessary. An excellent, and cheeky, way to sidestep your personal obligations, hahaha! I think that other viewers would still be interested in seeing a followup, they just don't know it yet.

I’m 18, and until just recently I’ve only had rather sweet scents like Armani Code Profumo and Valentino Uomo, I like Uomo but don’t wear it often. I’m looking for a more grown up scent, keep in mind I do dress rather well; buttoned shirt, belt, I need a haircut but hair is alright. Would this scent be out of place for me? I’m looking for a more summer scent, but I I don’t like those “blue” or “aqua” types of fragrances, I’m hoping maybe this could fill that. Thanks for the great review, I enjoyed the history of the company👍

I wear a lot of this in the summer because it's a nice citrus-y and almost ridiculously complex scent. This is another big power/money in a bottle scent from the late part of the 1900's My only complaint with this one is it almost requires the wearer to put on a white shirt and tie with it--it's that formal. Definitely no jeans here! Fortunately I do business drag with my work, so it has a place in my rotation.
