Bottom-Dwelling Sharks | JONATHAN BIRD'S BLUE WORLD

When most people think of a shark, they think of an animal like the Great White or a reef shark. But there are hundreds of small, bottom-dwelling sharks like the Wobbegong that blend in to the bottom to hunt as ambush predators, the Indonesian Walking shark that walks on its fins, or sharks like Nurse sharks that simply spend most of their time resting on the bottom. Jonathan travels from Australia to Indonesia looking at interesting sharks that don't look like sharks!

why would people or anyone would dislike this? this has nothign to do with any drama, and its just an educational video, a passionate man who's willing to put his life and his time with maximum effort into something educational and entertaining just so that someone like you who just sit at home all day can have some education and insight on these marine wild life only so whats wrong with that? man people in this world, they never appreciate the kind and deeds of what one has to offer, just wow human beings.

So nice to see these sharks I never heard of before. Really special, and good demonstration of the diversity of the shark species. I have always loved the ocean underwaterworld, its fascinating and soothing for me. People like Jacques Costeau many years ago, and now Jonathan take us along on an expedition of this world, sharing all knowledge they have. Thanks for that! It is such an opportunity for people who do not have the means, abilities or simply the time to visit these beautiful locations. Really makes me happy.

Hey Jonathan, been a viewer for a few years now. Dont know if you remember but I commented a while back about an internship I landed in Honduras. I finally learned to SCUBA dive on the island of Utila. I only got to Advanced Open Water but its a start. I helped out with this organization that studies the whale sharks found there. Normally the Whale shark season ends in May and doesnt pick up again until maybe August but I was very lucky enough to swim with just 1 on 3 different instances one of the 28 days I was there. It was a 21 foot long male which was still enormous to me even if it's half sized. I got it on film and Im working on compiling all the clips I got. 24 dives I managed to see a loggerhead turtle and some really cool fish as well. Just wanted to thank you for being part of my inspiration and I hope to visit even just a few of the awesome places i've seen you go. Australia is a dream spot of mine, I'm also looking towards the Maldives because there seems to be another great whale shark organization down there as well

Congratulations on your scuba certification!! Utila is a great island with wonderful diving. The whale sharks are not super easy to find there--you have to work for them. But the water is nice and clear when you do find one. I'll bet you got some great footage!
