This is a piece about what it feels like when you bottle up your emotions. Tension grows in the music to reflect that, then a sort of angry, detached "climax" to reflect the releasing of bottled up emotion occurs. Lastly the piece ends in fully major, after going through some rougher harmonies, which is indicative of how you feel after releasing bottled up emotions.
