Botanical art Florilegium Grootbos nature reserve
Africas first florilegium celebrates the beauty of the fynbos.
It is also one of the few florilegiums to showcase the insects, pollinators and other creatures associated with the respective plants.
FLORILEGIUM
(flôrəˈlējēəm), n. a collection of illustrations featuring plants from a specific garden or region.
'Situated in one of the most biodiverse biomes on the planet, the Grootbos Private Nature Reserve has a deep connection to the Cape Floral Kingdom it calls home. The Grootbos Reserve is home to over 800 species of fynbos, and has served as a custodian of the precious region for 25 years.'
