For simplicity's sake, I sometimes use "Bot" to describe both afk farmers and 3rd party using bots, and for script using botting "bots" I often say they are "script using". I cannot guarantee who is using what method any given time, so I let the footage speak for itself. If we think of a basic understanding of the term "bot" I.E. Automated actions a player may take while not being there, then it is a matter of whether that person uses 1st party software (I.E. GW2 game client) or 3rd party (script programs). Of course "script using" bots are a more scandalous use of automation. That being said, I hold no ill will towards anyone scripting, afk farming, or otherwise. It is important to note that if you engage in anti-bot activities, that you treat everyone with respect. Even though you might disagree with someone's type of gameplay, there are still real people behind those avatars. NOTE: If you are reporting "botting" to ANET, make sure you use THEIR definition. You don't want to get in trouble for misreporting.

Yea keep killing them

I've killed and reported hundreds in Sandswept Isles. Even exposed a player with close to 40 accounts 24/7 botting. ArenaNet literally treated me like I was the bad guy and threatened me with account suspension. The farm is still running with the owner ressing and defending almost 6 months later.

Yikes! Yeah, this is why I've given up on reporting them.. they feel a lot more aggressive towards people actually pointing out the problem then doing much about it. You would think the constant exposure would help.. but unless it hits anet's wallet. *shrugs* Its a crapshoot.

Anet are the worst. I've been warned for conspiracy theories around discussing the way they opt to ignore botters, Modri Caverns has a guy there called Sparc. He has been there since PoF released. He multiboxes with his cheats and I've reported him relentless over the years. A few months ago I went back to check, out of curiosity and the first person I saw was Sparc. I turned around and saw that EVERY SINGLE PLATFORM IN MODRI CAVERNS HAD AN ARMY OF IDLE FARMERS/BOTTERS/Script uesrs, farming Ibgo. Anet? Don't care. They are terribly lazy. One of the world companies for giving a shit, or putting the work in. GW2 is still riddled with ancient bugs, unfinished content, a severe lack of QoL (some of which took almost decade to arrive, etc). But hey, 99.9999% of GW2 players, eating Anet bussy, are so fucking biased they make excuses for all of this on behalf of the. Anet suck.

The guy reviving the AFKers is regularly seen AFKing that spot. I swear, every time I run RIBA that guy is always sitting around that spot.

After seeing bots in Domain of Istan, I fell in the rabbit hole of GW2 bots and it eventually led me to this channel. It really blows my mind how little interest Anet shows in getting rid of bots or implementing ANY measures at all to prevent botting. This is a game where you can buy nearly everything they can sell with in game currency. Botting ABSOLUTELY carves into their bottom line.

Man, I found one of your ealier vids by pure accidence and decided to give it a try with turtle fake taxi occasionally when I come across macroers... The feeling of taking them for a ride is priceless! :)

What about bot/afk players in the dragon bash arena. I joined so many of them already and there is sometimes as much as 2-3 who just stand there shooting out in the air. Then they die and the none bot players pick them up to make sure that they done a good dead all whilst the bot is taking up slots and letting other players do the work for them. They are in the open arena which just makes me sad that Anet haven ot fixed that yet. It was like that already last year.

Such beautiful artistry! I've dabbled in this kind of thing before, but only the trying to get em killed method. Often, though, I'll soon see some random player come by and rez them... 😞 Honestly, anet, just pay me $5 a week and give me "dev abilities," and I'll happily spend a couple hrs a day running around deleting such bot accounts. Doesn't matter if some are only semi-afk, it is still a form of cheating, and such folks deserve to be insta-deleted, no warning.

If anyone wants to upset some farmers, sandswept Isles in the reactor centre by the pool there's a spot at the bottom of the North East ramp. The entire farm relies on a single elite mob being alive (awakened arbiter) if it dies the loot is quartered. There's some dude with like 20 mechanisms that farms there and gets super butthurt when you camp the arbiter respawn

YES! I have made a person mad at me lol. I was going to mention this spot in an update. I think its a karma farm spot? they have the karma booster and if you kill that guy early it prevents him from ressing a ton of inquest zombies.

It may be seen as a "waste of time" to mess with bots/afkers, but you have made it SO friggin entertaining to watch. Its always a bit demoralizing to just walk into a bunch of these little buggers and your videos have definitely taught me to laugh more with the situation instead of letting it get to me. I've kinda just given up on reporting.. by now they absolutely know where the hotspots are and that there is a problem. I did enjoy me some sandfishy feeding while passing thru Kourna, thanks to you my friend. Suffice to say, I appreciate the time and effort into these showcases! Even if some methods are rare to use, showcasing the issue and having a bit of fun can save some (like me) from hating the situation and souring the game for a bit. :)

The effort for this kind of vid amaze me all the time!!

There are players that can solo legendary mobs. Solo farning doesn't really need to be "fixed." It takes a lot of work, and It's good when you can't be around when other players are. A lot of soloists use such large monsters to get better at the game so they can help others do things even if a large group isn't present.

I'mma be real, the amount of efforts went into the video alone is astounding. You're amazing.

Didn't watch whole video, but here's a thing that might be useful to you - the way to make a knocked enemy not move anymore, I once did that in my aetherpath ooze font video - kzread.info/dash/bejne/iHWMybiOn7y6qdI.html - you're basically pulling them while you are stealthed, and either not having the stealth removed or reapplying it nanosecond after so their combat AI doesn't trigger. Then they don't wander around anymore. I don't know if that behavior is universal, but I could do it in a deterministic fashion in 2014.

Or is there an unwritten rule between bot users and afkers to res any bot they come accross, kinda like that one video about cheaters in tarkov they have an unwritten rule to not attack other cheaters who shake back at you or something

There are certain things you can do to freeze or continuous loop animations. My upper half of my body was locked to the /serve emote while my lower half wasn't locked.

im leaving NA server because of this silverwastes bots im the only active commander for that meta and now the map looks dead lol and idk why these bots keep stay there

That’s not “kiting”, kiting is just running and doing damage to not get hit. Pulling mobs on other players is called “training” (like a train). 😃

ive come across a ball of botters once but they were just killing random mobs? im genuinely curious..whats the problem with them? dont get me wrong im not a botter, dont believe in it..why pay for a game to have a computer "play" it for you...but ive personally never had my gameplay ruined by them or any other task..ive had some frame lag from the ball of botters on windswept of course but are they really that big of a blight? or just simply an annoyance?

They scale up events, take away spots on meta maps, take away mobs from hearts, create lag, and ruin the economy.

Regretfully, in the end you achieved nothing (apart from doing great content, of course). Such effort will be just included under "risks" article but bitters and increase the price for end customers a couple of percents, and that is only if A LOT of people would start doing the same. Demand is there, Anet doing nothing, so there will be bots. No game ever could defeat bots, apart from Eve Online maybe, where botting IS the gameplay 😁

BOT = A bot is an automated software program that digitally replicates some type of human activity AFK = Away From Keyboard You should educate yourself a little bit.
