    Andie Lim thank u from a fellow BU alumni. That’s what brought me here from your day in the life. Lived and worked Boston for 10 years and both my husband and I went to BU SDM in the 90s. Living in WNY now. Hopefully my son decides on BU for ED1.

    This is a long shot considering that the video is from last year.. but I going to be studying my master's in BU starting on July. I was wondering if you could recommend me locations / apartment names for off-campus housing. Thanks in advance

    Thank you for your video. I'm a prospective PhD student and will be moving to Boston in September. Do you have idea about graduate on- campus housing? If you could make video for incoming graduate students? That would really help.

    thank you so much for making this video! i'm an incoming freshman and trying to decide housing and meal plan. btw, what meal plan did you have as a freshman and which one would you recommend ? also, my family home is like 30 min from campus (ie i'll be going home at least every other weekend i think)

  • @AndieLim

    @AndieLim

    4 жыл бұрын

    Ah congrats!!!! So I know that there's this meal plan hack where you can get extra dining points. I tried it out my sophomore year and it worked! So you start off with the 330 meal plan and after a few weeks before you can't change it, switch to the 250 meal plan. Just keep switching back and forth until you're able to get the most dining points. I think you do have to wait a few days in between each switch though. But if you don't want to do that it really depends on where you think you'll be eating more. If you'll be eating more in the GSU with dining points, I recommend 330 or 250. If you're planning to eat more in dining halls then I recommend the 14+ or unlimited!

    hi!! i'm an admitted sophomore transfer and I was wondering about the bay state brownstones and how easy it is to get into one of those as a sophomore/transfer?

  • @AndieLim

    @AndieLim

    4 жыл бұрын

    I'm not exactly sure how easy it is. It really depends on how many continuing students decided to live there and if there are any openings. My little was a sophomore transfer and she was able to live in one. Her roommate was also a sophomore transfer. I hope this helps!

    You can totally ride your bike! There are bike racks everywhere around campus. Students also ride skateboards and scooters!

  • @AndieLim

    @AndieLim

    3 жыл бұрын

    Not necessarily! Im in CAS and I lived in west all 4 years! It really depends on what you're looking for socially! West campus is closer to sports games and frats, so it's a bit more social. Warren is closer to Boston

    Isn't Bay State the Brownstones? What about HOJO, Danielsen, 1019, Myles Standish? Didn't hear you mention them. My cousin went to BU. Spent many weekends there lol

  • @AndieLim

    @AndieLim

    3 жыл бұрын

    Bay State and Brownstones are synonymous to each other at BU. In regards to the other dorms, I only included the ones that are popular to freshmen. The dorms that you mentioned aren't as popular to freshmen as the ones I mentioned. Also please keep in mind that this video is my thoughts and perspective of the BU housing as someone who attends BU.

  • @AndieLim

    There are bike racks all over campus! And a lot of dorms have bike rooms where you can store your bike if you don't want to put it on the bike rack!

  • @AndieLim

    I believe so! I know a few freshman who lived there but it’s not that popular for freshman to live. I’d recommend either west or Warren to get the full freshman experience

  • @AndieLim

    @AndieLim

    Yes, but most do not. If a freshman ends up in Myles, it's usually because they went random, but it's very rare for freshman to end up in Myles

  • @AndieLim

    Not usually. It's actually very rare that freshman would get a single room, but with the current Covid-19 pandemic, I wouldn't be surprised if BU would put them in single rooms.
