Hi!! great video! I'm going to be in Cushing next year too. I have a couple questions if you'd be willing to answer them :)) I was wondering about lofting your bed. Do you have to buy bed risers/lofters or does the bed/ room already come with the things to do that? Also when living on Newton did you find you would leave for class and stay on main campus all day until all your classes were over or did you come back to your dorm if you had long breaks in between classes?

Hi! Thank you so much! The bed has lofters attached to the bed (I think it goes up as high as 30-40 inches --> I forget what the exact number is but it's in the video as the space between the top of the bed and floor). When I lived on Newton I found that I did both. First semester I would come back because I had longer breaks between classes, but I spent most of my second semester on main campus! Second semester I also made a lot of friends on Upper, so I would go to their rooms in between classes if there wasn't enough time to go back to Newton. I will say I think I spent a little bit more time in my room than I would've in a "normal" year (especially first semester) because of the COVID restrictions/mix of online & in-person classes, so it may be a little different this year because everything looks open:)

Hi! You don't need bed risers...the beds are self lofting:)

hey!! random question but have you seen any freshman with headboards? me and my roommate are thinking about buying them but after looking at a few videos I don’t know if there is enough space between the bed and the hooks on the wall when the bed is on risers..

Hi! I've been in rooms where people have done headboards, but they didn't have hooks. The hooks/placement of them varies by room and dorm! I might have just been able to do a headboard with my bed fully lofted

How do you loft the bed?

On the bed posts there are little holes that the bed attaches to. To loft the bed you have to pop the bed frame out of the hole it is in and lift it to the height you want.
