I will say this... Marcus would have flopped all the way to sliding under the basket trying to sell an "Offensive Foul". Jrue on the other hand, stays disciplined and stays on Nembhard long enough to get the steal!

Idk, the more I read the more it seems like it was the best move for both teams. Milwaukee needed a better scorer on offense especially in the playoffs. Jrue is elite at defense but was asked to do too much offensively. He fit Boston much better where he isn't needed as the second or third option on offense and has flourished here.

There were SO many great moments in this game and incredible performances, especially from JT, Al and Jrue in particular. As a Celtics fan though, what I loved to see most is how after the Pacers final shot missed, instead of celebrating, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White immediately got to talking about how Nesmith got that open. Thats a team that has its eyes on the prize. They weren't going nuts celebrating. They were saying 'yoooo how did he get that good a look? Thats on us.'

That block by Horford around the 4 minute mark of the 3rd quarter was the turning point if they get that bucket and go up 17 with 3 minutes in the qtr its over. Al has been phenomenal. Might be one of the best performances as a unit in years. They refused to give up. This win made me proud to be a Celtics fan. I went from cursing out every member of the team to going nuts watching them chip away at the lead. I damn near cried last night I was so happy 😂😂

This win really showed me that this team wants it this year. Last season, the Jays would try to play hero ball and jack up 3’s to cut the deficit. They’re mature now, they understand that it’s not about making shots but executing down the stretch, staying disciplined and doing the little things, rebounding, timely help defence and trusting your team mates. Derrick White was not good until the last quarter and a half. He just kept doing what he does best and got some very good blocks that led to transition buckets.

The Celtics teams from the past 2-3 years would’ve taken this loss and moved on. This team, this 2024 team is different. This entire year feels different man. He hasn't played very much since we acquired him. It's a blessing to have so much depth at the 5. Even without Porzingis, we have Horford, Kornet, Tillman, and a diamond in the rough, if needed, Neemias Queta. No other team could lose Porzingis, and not miss a beat.

It's close between this team and the 2008 Celtics. Garnett, Pierce and Allen were all just past their primes in 08, but still won the title, these guys are still young. I've been a fan since 1980. The 1986 Celtics remain the greatest team I've ever seen. Not just the greatest Celtic team, but the greatest team, period.
