Love your vids man, I'm a mechanic by trade but trying to get into the remodeling biz, far as I'm concerned you're the best flooring channel on youtube, keep up the good work!

Just wondering why you didn’t glue and staple the planks with them being so wide?

A year later. Which stapler do you prefer? Power nail has a few different staplers out, it gets kind of confusing reading through the specs.

What stapler do you recommend for 3/4" thick engineered flooring? Is a mallet activated stapler important for 3/4" thick material?

Yes it is, and cleats Will do better on three-quarter flooring then staples will, I use this www.tools4flooring.com/primatech-550alr-18-ga-adjustable-pneumatic-nailer-w-rollers.html

Did you get your Powernail gun to work right? I was looking to get one but I have shyed away from it by the way it was shooting in the video. Do you have any issues shooting other brand staples through it?

Seth Clawson It seems to do fine as long as our use 11/4” staples however I did have to remove the safety also on the gun, so now it has no safety, I rarely use it I usually stick with my bostitch

@@FloorsbySouthernboys thanks for the fast reply! Do you ever have any issues with your Bostitch getting caught on osb subfloor if you are installing the engineered wood floor with the attached backing?

Seth Clawson The only thing with the Bostitch is it is not as comfortable as the powernail , But outside of that I have zero issues with it, I have always used Bostitch guns the last really good

FloorsbySouthernboys i swooped the 50f 3/4 nailer today that bad boy is a beast for not having to hammer it.. I mean with obvious skewed boards you still gotta use screw driver to pry in as usual seems a game changer for me.
