    Super fun to improvise! I started playing the flute 1 year ago and I'm loving all the possibilities. This backing track is the perfect example to explore all the things you can do while improvising.

    No matter how good you can play an instrument what really matters is if you can make it sound distinctive and thats what seperates willie from everyone else👍

    Pete L Scales are a tool to guide you what notes are gona be consonant, and in this case harmonic minor tell you that there is a leading tone in the natural seven wich is very important. You dont have to play the scale up and down.

    You can change the reproduction speed in the video options (next the full screen icon). It works quite well, as long as you use 0.75 or 1.25 . 1.5 works too, but too fast for my taste :)

    Hello! What scales would you play on this? arpeggios are used on each chord from what I saw, right? although the harmonic minor of D can also be used

  • @oscarwemes9966

    @oscarwemes9966

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, D harmonic minor is a scale you could use overall for the song (maybe not for the B section, it goes to D7 there). Another very interesting scale to check out is the D hungarian minor scale which in my opinion sounds quite cool on this!

    Salut Martin, merci pour ce playback :D Dis, pourquoi dans ce standard on appel Gm6 cet accord et pas E demi diminué, comme pour un II V I en ré mineur?

  • @guitareimprovisation

    @guitareimprovisation

    7 жыл бұрын

    Dans la version du trio Rosenberg, le bassiste joue un Sol sur cet accord. Un IV V I est quasiment comme un II V I donc ça change assez peu, même si on joue souvent Em7 à la place du Gm6 aujourd'hui.
