As a guitarist I never considered the bass fx as essential for recording especially with all the stuff in amplitube and guitar rig, but, these multi-effects are so handy for making your own bass sounds. Definately consider this for home recording into a decent soundcard. They sound great through real amps aswell. For direct usb to pc recording you need the gt10/10b or better.

I have the boss me-50 Guitar version. Tried it out to see how it would sound on the bass. I love it. I think it sounds better than the bass version. At least it sounds better than the demo here. Been messing around with it all night.

@nours197666 You can have 1 filter/tone, one overdrive/distortion/synth, one delay/mod and one expression pedal effect (4 effects in total).

yes, without adding any other pedals you can run up to 5 effects at once.

how do you hook up these effect pads to your amp, cause my amp has a pwr in and pwr out, and above it says effects settings so it sounds like i would plug it in there?

Heyy, on my BOSS ME 50B my Hi band drive, Saw Lead, Mild Filter, Deep filter and Square does not give a good sound :( Am i doing something wrong ? Because i play lots of Muse and i want saw lead ! :(

I have the guitar effects unit the Boss GT8. Do you think it would work for bass? I find a lot of bass effects that are made for bass sound stupid, and they also sound like farts. So hard to find a good distortion for bass. I found one on this GT8 and it sounds to raw and dirty and doesn't sound fuzzing and hairy like a bass effects unit sounds.

@nours197666 Yes but he's using it in patch mode, which in my opinion sucks. If you have it in manual mode you can have as many as you want running.

Well basicly what they are is a big boom. A TR-808 sound. Typically used in death metal to create a BOOOOOOOM.

the manual sais you have only 2.8 seconds of looping. (hold delay)

Good for soloing or relatively tame music. Terrible for hard rock or bands with dual guitars because your bottom end falls out.

Hi Eduardo. Unfortunately I no longer have this pedal for several years. However, I remember that I have reached the sound by my ears, after various adjustments and tests... ;) ..but I not remember the exact parameters used. I'm sorry...

the loop from the 50b is shit, (I have it) ^^ but the boss rc 3 is very nice !!!
