I think in NAMM I saw it in mooer booth where they have mooer prime s1 which is basically mooer p2 + it’s wireless footswitch combined in one device only and still maintain its small form factor. So, BOSS basically updated the Pocket GT by removing the need for an instrument cable, ditched the hard buttons for more "on phone" control, added dedicated bass amps, upgraded from micro-USB to USB-C, and it retails for less than the Pocket GT did. Excellent work, Roland/BOSS. One company that isn't trying to screw the consumer. They continue to prove themselves again and again. Now, I need to add one to my current Roland/BOSS amps.

Regarding using Bluetooth earbuds, they have horrible latency. About rhe best you can get with modern Bluetooth codecs is 40 ms and most are far more than this. I believe the Apple Airpods have at least 130ms latency, and usually a lot higher. That's unusable for playing guitar.

That nonchalant squeal RULES. Anyway Ola, I came to say something obvious, but maybe still not said enough. Among other things you brought to my guitar playing Renaissance when you started making videos and then brought us Solar; the way you introduced me/all of us to Evertune has been maybe the best thing to encourage my improved and expanded playing. Apart from that, you introduced me to Neural DSP and plug-ins generally; and with that my exponentially more creative playing and enjoyment from it. I'll be 60 in a month, and truly, being your online buddy, customer and 'student,' has added lots of real tangible fun and way more produced music to my life. I bought something very similar from another brand last year and it sounded great and worked like advertised… but I never use it. The only intriguing part of the Katana for me would be the acoustic amp model because the one on the Katana Air is very good and I use it all the time. But I can’t imagine needing the Go for anything unless I were routing it into a larger amp, in which case it might make more sense to just get one of their combo amps.

I own the Katana Air, used it for 6hrs a day for 5yrs, it just died recently. It's impossible to get replacement batteries, I'm told. I have the Spark Go, but so far, no tone-replicator I've used so far will accept a wireless signal from the guitar *AND AT THE SAME TIME* maintain a Bluetooth connection to the device running the app, yet still re-transmit the sound via Bluetooth. I like to clip the Spark Go to my belt, plug my wireless system into my Strat & the Spark, and play into my headphones (apartment living). To keep it quiet, I have to plug my otherwise wireless Bluetooth Sony headphones physically into the Spark amp. One wire, I know, boo-hoo, but I want the Spark to take what it gets from my guitar & send it back to my earphones/earbuds via Bluetooth instead. No more wires, just strum, and hear it instantly on my Jabra Elite 10 earbuds. I like to play along with content on my PC. Spark Go connects to my PC via USB-C, I plug the wireless guitar receiver into the Spark, transmitter into my Strat (which for this story will be Dave Gilmour's Black Strat since in this story he's a personal friend & confidante). I connect to the Spark via Bluetooth on my Samsung S21 Ultra so I can iterate thru tones. I'm too cheap for pedals. That part is too true to even fake. My setup: PLAY: [Strat] -> Wireless Transmitter/ Receiver -> Spark -> USB-C cable -> PC also: [ Cellphone -> Bluetooth -> Spark to define/set tone ] LISTEN: [KZread, Ola Englund of course!] -> PC -> USB-C cable -> Spark -> Headphones wire-connected to the Spark. In my headphones: I hear my playing, whatever the PC is playing at the same time, and can adjust the volume of both separately. I'm able to noodle along to anything. No lag, either. Change the tone via the Spark app on my phone, my tone changes, the PC continues to play my movie/KZread. I'm LOVING this - but I want more. I want to change the last line to: PC -> USB-C cable -> Spark -> Bluetooth Out (earbuds, etc) So far, only one 'inbound' Bluetooth connection can be maintained by the Spark Go. I love new tech - and I'm a crap guitarist, only been playing 6yrs now, but I love playing. Hours per day. It's like therapy. Great channel so far - browsing now.

Man, that Solar X Type is gorgeous. Literally the only reason I don't own one already is because I really dislike the placement of the output jack. But with a finish like that you make it really hard not to cave.

Holy hell, Ola! Your audio is top notch in your vids, this just got blasted in my face as I was watching Andertons' video on the Katana Go... Their mic quality for voice was abysmal compared to yours, sure their guitar and bass recordings were alright, but it was straight painful listening to the video compared to yours. No hate on Andertons though! They got some solid videos and I like their content, just don't know what went wrong there for them. You sound great! Keep on chugging!

I think there's just way too much latency with bluetooth audio for playing an instrument still. When you use bluetooth on your phone watching youtube etc, the reason it isn't a problem is because your phone delays the video to match the audio delay through bluetooth so that they match up better.

If it had a built-in mp3 player to play a song or drums in the background, for example, which could be controlled via a mobile app, that would be great. Before a show it would be nice to warm up using this device. I hope the updated version will have this feature.
