Heyy, this is exactly what I was looking for! You are probably the best car audio systems reviewer on KZread, great work! Only thing, using a Sony Amp with this would get me the best quality audio?

Hooked it up to the rockford fosgate p400x4 via rca jacks....plenty of power no engine noise....set the volume at 40

The way they made these Boss units connect at screen is good.. even better radios have that cord and what not.. Good on Boss for these.. 🙂

Thank you for review. Boss it's clean made and the best thing way to joint screen with din, but resolution less and colors is faded I feel in 6 months it will be black and white. Available same in high resolution and specs same size.

Been installing both the Boss 9/10 inch and the Sound storm labs same ones and i like them alot. Main display home is garbage looking but apple carplay and android auto looks amazing and pretty quick. Sound quality isnt as good as Kenwood or pioneer and doesnt have crossovers which is a bummer.

Crossovers would be great! But you can always adjust that in your amps/dsp

I gots the 9" for $40 brand new never open at a swap meet in LA. I did the installation myself. Happy camper here! PLEASE DON'T HATE ME !

Great vid... question.. have you ever reviewed Eonon products?

A demo of the backup cam would be nice… How fast does it switch to the cam from boot up? Does it switch to the backup cam smoothly (with the reverse 12v input) without audio interruption when CarPlay or android auto is being used? How wide is the lens? How clear is it? Does it have backup cam guidelines?

It takes about 2 seconds for me. Yes it has guidelines but they don’t auto adjust or move. You can adjust the lines however. The lens is pretty wide, not sure how much, but I’d guess MAYBE about 100° fov. It’s fairly clear, works decent at night too but isn’t super high res because of the screen

You mentioned playing a video from usb when parked. Can this be done from movies purchased through the Apple TV app or does it not matter as long as it’s in correct playback format? Waiting to have mine installed so curious. Thanks.

@QualityMoblieVideo - Thank you for this review. I like the floating display. I have a double din slot I'd like to put something like this in. What I'd like to see in a unit is the display to be able to move level with the bottom or level with the top of the single din. This way its totally out of the way of the of the other din. Do you know of a similar unit that can do this? Many thanks!

I bought a bcpa10 and it really sounds good, the only challenge I have is video out put. I have headrest monitors for the people in the back seats to be watching videos but unfortunately I couldn’t this head unit’s video output line . Any idea what I should do?

Yes. I spoke with Boss on the differences between the BE10ACP & the BCPA10RC and was told the only difference is the BE has some inner components that are slightly better quality and may last a little longer. But the units are basically identical.

I'm looking to get one that I can play or mirror downloaded movies & Audio from my S22 Ultra (Android) to the head unit while outdoors hunting. I usually just park & kick back in my 02' Blazer ZR2 that has a Single Din Stereo installed. I need a bright & beautiful diplay.. Great info & any suggestion anyone? Please let me know, I'm cheap. So $300+ is out of my price range or what I'm looking to spend

I have this unit. It's okay. It sucks when it comes to the audio side though. No crossovers really hurts this thing. The audio even with Kicker Key amps, is subpar at best. My stock bose radio connected to the Kicker Key amps sounded so much better. Bad part is I can't get rid of this Boss radio because no one wants to buy it. I wasted my money just for a bigger screen. I can only pray that someone will develop a custom Android firmware for it and add some crossover features.

Amazon music plays through Bluetooth just fine. I just installed one of these yesterday. I have not tried maps yet. I believe the only way to get that is to connect the phone via USB cable.

What is the depth throw the front of the main unit to the front of the screen. (On the 9 inch) I have a shifter in the area of installation and would like to double check I don’t have interfered with the shifter or my knuckles.

I used the rca jacks to the amp like how it has sub output but the auto on stays on and I got good rockford fosgate stuff

Is it worth the extra savings to get this over a Jensen CAR 1000? Or should I just go with the Jensen?

Can this car deck fit into any car?

How long does it take between turning the car on and actually getting something from your radio or CD player? My boss don't know the exact model takes about 15 to 20 seconds I can be driving down the street before any sound comes out of it which is very annoying. Just want to know if that's a normal thing or not thank you.

just plug it in I replaced my flip up unit and used the same camera no problem. I di not have to run new wire or anything.

Should work in pretty much any car. Worst case scenario you'll need a bracket to make it fit but just Google it and it'll show up. It's just a piece of plastic to fill any gaps that may be there. If you already have a single din unit you probably won't need one though

I bought the BCPA9 and the correct Android mirroring adapter but it will only stay connected for 15-20 seconds before disconnecting, then I have to unplug and plug it back in. Any suggestions? I know the HDMI cable and my phone are not the issue.

Not in the house, I tried my kids Fire tablet but it wouldn't work at all. I should add that I've been using Android Auto instead and have had zero issues with that. I've seen other people complain about that not staying connected

Anybody else have trouble with the phone not staying connected to Android Auto if the USB cord gets jostled? I've tried multiple phones and multiple cords, including one that works fine in another car, and they all have the same issue.

Double check your firmware version on your radio. Last resort restart the phone and make sure you have it up to date.

is it possible to stop video played off of a USB from stretching? Since 800x480 isn't a common size, I really don't know any video default to it. I can't really find the right software to convert anything either.

@@hollnagelc Yeah, spent a few hours with handbrake (which I use relatively often outside of for this unit) and there's not realy straghtofward wat to deel with the wonky aspect ratio. 16:9 content stretches a little but is watchable. anything wider or thinner though really aint it for me. There may still be a way to fix it but with it being an oddly specific issue, not many answers I could find myself and it's not something i've worried too much about since I don't really plan to be in my car watching videos all that much anyways.

Double check your sub amp, you have something wrong with your remote turn on.

I use the remote wire now...fixed it Was in speakers power mode but would stay on till I unplugged it

Not having a crossover is what makes me want to spend the extra money on the higher brands like pioneer or Kenwood etc.. But then again I could always adjust dsp/crossover within my external amps/crossovers. 😊

Yea if if want too you can hook up a roku or a fire stick and then run an av to hdmi converter and then a hot spot. You can also take the parking brake wire and just tape it to the unit itsself as a ground and by pass the video safety lock so you can watch while you drive lol
