BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA! 🇧🇦 Mostar to Sarajevo & beyond
This is Bosnia and Herzegovina! After exploring Mostar, drove north through Sarajevo stopping halfway in Konjic. After Sarajevo we continue north through the mountainous terrain of the 'heart shaped land' ending up in a lovely guesthouse in beautiful Gornje Dubrava 🇧🇦
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a land with a complicated recent history, it is a melting pot of religions, cultures and cuisines. But to us, we will always remember this country in the heart of Europe for its raw beauty and some of the friendliest people.

Hey guys, thanks for this! Quick story: when I was 9 my dad worked for ABC in NYC. They had the broadcasting contract for the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo. So our whole family got to go. We stayed there from Decemer 9, 1983 till the end of Feb 1984. We used to go to the old town all the time. We saw Mostar and the bridge. Also saw a bunch of Olympic events. We all were so upset when the wars broke out. I think the bldg we lived in was bombed. So it's wonderful to see the city so alive and thriving. It was a lovely walk down memory lane, thanks 😁🥰

The replica of the Old Bridge was (MOSTly) made of materials saved from the old one. Also, Konjic is known for its woodcarving . It's inscribed on the UNESCO world heritage list.

The "Great Raid" into Bosnia was led by Prince Eugene of Savoy. He made it all the way to Sarajevo in 1697 AD. He burnt Sarajevo down and 40,000 Bosnian Catholics left Bosnia & Sarajevo at this time with Prince Eugene as he retreated back into Croatia. They didn't want to wait for the advancing Ottoman Turks. After this Christian exodus the muslim population increased as a % of the population.
love you'r kiss
Way to go guys, having the time of your life. I wuldent worry to much about the budget, things have a way of sorting them selfes out, esspecyaly for people like you that have the courage to grab the life for his b***s/EGGS, and live it the way they want it. BTW , when they were tryng to reconstrac the bridge in Mostar, they wanted to be identical with the one before. The problem was ,they inspekted the stones from wich it was bilt, and they culdent find the same tipe of stones anywhere . ( not sure where ive red that, or how true is it)
