Is the 33 microfarad capacitor that is used for a battery backup also a filter for the power supply? It looks like a battery but isn't.

My Bose AWRCC2 works, both radio and CD player, but I have no display. We just replaced the display with a "new" used one and still have no display. Do you have any suggestions of what to try next? Thanks!

I replaced the 6 capacitors in question. It worked fine. However after long testing the unit just died halfway through the playing of a cd. I took it apart and took a thermometer laser gun to the area and found that the caps were getting hot. And so we’re the caps on the left side of the silver box. Then it died again. Is it possible that you have to get quality Audio based capacitors with a low ESR rating so as to not overheat and fail again? I did match the farad rating with a bit higher range of volts. But those failed. So I bought some new ones with the same matching farad rating and with the voltage matching the originals. Out of curiosity did you do a test on your unit for about an hour with a cd playing and did it pass that test? Thanks

yes i fixed tons of those wave, be sure the polarity of those caps are right
