Thanks a lot. I'm just curios to know what settings do you use for movies or music. Direct or normal And what bass/treble settings I love the system so much, I'm still looking for a neutral setting that suits all playback. I do change the bass and modes for different types of content

@@aaedkalboneh7518 use direct mode for all music and movies. Use adaptiq olny in your main hearpostion(the other 4 30cm right and left from your main position and behind and infront). Also use the REW(free) software. In this sofware you can build your room with your hearpostion and locate where the subwoofer sounds best. Also after adapt iq i do not recoment to change the slider for the highs. Let it on 0. Bass between 0-2 and surround +2 or +3

Normal cuts the base, explosion become flat and punchless its like a night mode.

@@91DivineAngel Thanks a lot. I only had my system for a week now, and I've been using normal for movies and direct for music, Gonna give your settings try. I guess my left and right front speakers are further apart than recommended so I increased the center a bit. I owned a Bose V35 a long time ago and I miss the option of 2.1 and 3.1 use. I noticed you have 2 subwoofers. Did you compare what it's like with just one? Thanks

@@aaedkalboneh7518 normal is like a dynamik compressor. It makes loud parts quietly and quietly parts louder. You will never listen to shocking bass in normal mode and the bass is the best on the bose system, thats why i never use normal. Put a bluray like jurassic world. Forcexample when the T-Rexs gate open and it comes to you. On normal it sound weak on direkt you feel the base like the trex is in your room. Iff you have done adaptiq correctly you don t need to change speakers loudness. Bose roomeq is probaly the best on market. Center and all speakers plays after adaptiq in the same loudness, no matter how far they are. You can change the setting to your taste like me, but iff you lift the center from 0 out of 1 or two, it will also sound louder than the other speakers. I do it only on the rear because for my taste the mastering from the sound from blurays for the rearspeakers are too quiet I must buy a second sub becouse my living room is really big(42qm) with one i had a lot distrubtion. The scond help a bit but it do not increase the volume.

I prefer the 650. I never felt the Center was competing for anything. It was engineered as a system. The 650 Center is better for dialogue in movies. Also the 650 Center has 5 drivers that incorporate L & R in the center also. I have owned both systems and prefer the 650. Some issues can be lousy older ARC pass through on a older TV. Cable satellite providers compressing the audio. (That’s why I cut the cable). If movies are your thing 650 by far. My living room is carpeted with a bump out wall about 2 ft. It opens to the kitchen. With the 360 degree of sound it’s awesome for the SoundTouch. The 650 has only sounded thin on NBC newscasts that are not broadcast in 5.1. This left the center channel silent. That is not a Bose problem & I could careless. Also I would never watch movies in the Direct mode. You are cheating yourself on the surround experience.

The direct mode is uncompressed in the base. On standard you lost haevy bass. For exaple do you have jurassic world on bluray? Than watch the scene where the mosasaurus came out off the water to eat the shark. On standart the bass is very low and flat but on direct you think the mosaurus is in your livingroom os realy a day and night different. Standart is only better when you hear on low volume.
