The cinemate 520 came out in 2014 I think. This sound touch 520 was released in 2015. I got it for around $1300.
While this sound touch has an ugly wireless dongle and wired speakers. It's a huge shame that they got rid of their "budget" 5.1 system. Sure it has an ugly wireless dongle, it didn't sound too bad considering the price.
I also have the Lifestyle 650. While that sounds better, the sound touch 520 sounded decent while costing substantially less.
Bose needs to get on their game and reintroduce a budget 5 1 system. Shame on them!
