Bosch has earned the reputation as the Quietest Dishwasher Brand in the United States with whisper-quiet decibel levels, ranging from 40 to 50 dBA. One of the most convenient features is the PureDry system. This setting includes a sanitize option which concludes each cycle with a hot-water rinse that heats the water to 162 degrees. And it wouldn’t be Bosch without a little high-tech engineering-PrecisionWash uses intelligent sensors to scan and check the progress of dishes during the wash cycle and targets every item with powerful precision spray arms.
KitchenAid is a brand name you’ve been able to count on for over 100 years, and it’s time to put your trust in KitchenAid dishwashers. Third Level Racks make it easy to clean hard-to-place items, and the ProWash Cycle delivers exceptional results by making real-time cycle adjustments based on the soil level.

Criteria that matters to buy a dishwasher: - ability to clean dirty dishes - ability to dry dishes - reliability - ability to not put your house on fire because of heating element - ability to not destroy the cabinet with heat or humidity What dishwasher reviews are reviewing: - Look it has ball bearings - Not even testing the thing once

Not an apple to apple comparison why would you pick up a top range Bosch to compare with mid level kitchen aid? The crystal dry and water softener is useless feature especially for those who have whole house or kitchen water filter in place.. dish drying feature is similar in all washers as they have to meet some energy saving standards other than that one thing that consumers would be interested in is the utilities options. The third top rack of kitchen aid can beat Bosch any time any day. Even a blind person can touch and tell which one is bigger and better.

An expensive top of the line Bosch while comparing a much less expensive Kitchen aid. Not fair. Use a Kitchen aid comparable with 39 DBA Kitchen aid also has on their more expensive models 3 spin wheels and for the third rack too. I hate unfair reviews.

Kitchen Aide uses an old fashioned heating element and a fan to circulate air. Bosch Crystal Dry uses a volcanic element, Zeolite, which generates heat when wet. I've read reviews on both and people seem to be overwhelmingly in favor of Bosch's Crystal Dry system, which is touted to even dry low density items like plastic.

Self cleaning gifted a big deal, racks are Greta, esp third rack, larger. A little louder, and operating light a little less useful but quite functional . Dual tube wash and top rack cleaning the best. Thsi more useful that a bigger thrid rack-the 3rd rack is FOR thin small items !! And gent aly you cna get la for less $$

I didn't like the boss either because it was going to tell what soap I can use and neither one of them came in the color I wanted so I ended up with stainless steel. 2 huge elephants in the room in this video are that 1. In the Kitchenaid, food is constantly getting stuck in the water jet systems and the water pressure is weak (adding to the quietness of the machine). Not only do you have to thoroughly clean the dishes before you use the Kitchenaid, you have to remove the arms and physically clean them out after each wash (this is after having thoroughly cleaned the dishes, which is a huge pain and time consumer. Notice how he didn't show any dirty plates being loaded and cleaned? Cleaning the bottom arms are a pain but they do at least remove from the central turner. The top arms are all part of one piece. It's a crap shoot whether or not the food will come out of those. We didn't have the 3rd wrack system, so we had to use the basket for tableware. Our normal sized knives would block the arms from turning, so we had to load all of them on the far end of the basket. 2. It vents on the side and will warp and destroy your cabinets, which it has done to ours. Still trying to figure out how to proceed with this one. We now have a Siemens (fyi, Bosch, Siemens and Constructa are all the exact same machines, just with different branding) and this machine is a workhorse and does the job. We never have a problem with food getting stuck in the jets and the clearance is not a problem for normal size table ware. It also vents through the top. The Kitchenaid is quiet, much quieter than our Siemens and that's the only thing it's got going for it. Don't buy the Kitchenaid. It's a joke.

You obviously didn’t have your filter installed correctly on the Kitchenaid. I own Kitchenaid and have never once had to clean the spray arms or spray jets. We don’t pre-rinse and everything comes out perfect! The side vent is not a steam vent it’s just a cooling vent for the electronics. No damage to our cabinets whatsoever.

I hate that appliances now are built with a 6 to 10 year life expectancy. Does that mean most families are sending 4 to 5 large appliances to a landfill every 6 to 10 years? (In contrast, my first Maytag clothes dryer worked well for 25 years.). Are electronic options that great that we want to create this much garbage?

flynn1a, It is unfortunate how much waste is produced not just in the appliance industry, but in general. Don's has made a conscious effort to reduce our environmental impact. We take old appliances and send them out to get the parts and metal recycled. If you want to learn more we do have a video with information on how we recycle: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioRqr7NwgdrbhbA.html

I still don't get what the difference is. This idiot rambled for over 5 minutes using exclusively marketing terms: this one washes your balls, while this one has glide racks to help you wash your balls, etc. Dude, I only have room for 1 dishwasher in my kitchen. Which one is better: Bosch or Kitchen Aid? And what are the model numbers you are reviewing? I will never get back these 5 minutes of my life - 7 if I count the time taken to write this down as well.
