the problem with this setups is the pivot point if rotation is needed. the laser suport ( bracket , mount , etc) shoud be fully leveld around 360 degs. if not , the pendulum will compensate for the (minimal) difference and the beam will be projected with the new compensation (from "new" reference different pivot point). this issue can be tested in a simple accuracy 180 degs test.

Oh wow I didn't realize the bm1 would attach directly to the clamp. That's really good to know.

Thanks for this video. I decided to go with the Dewalt Dw0882 for my Bosch laser level.

I have the bp350 pole and gll3-330cg laser. I've used it a good bit now and found best way to get fine tune up/down is to hook the laser level to the bm1 mount but keep the bm1 on lock. You can still raise/lower while it is on lock and it doesn't fall any once you let go of the raise/lower dial. If you have it on unlock and put your laser on point then let go it sags and you wind up having to readjust 3-4 times. Raise/lower while on lock is 10 times easier to lock on target height. I wish the bp350 had a higher quality attachment bracket. The heavier the laser level the more the bracket sags. If your pole is slightly off plumb that combined with the sag in the bracket puts your laser level off by more than the 4 degree tolerance limit. It's really annoying.

I was surprised you can still move the height adjust even with the Lock on.

@@davesworkbenchuk It's much easier to lock onto a height point that way b/c you can let off the knob and it doesn't sink in lock mode. If you're using the vertical laser lines to lock onto a target point you need fine control spin. The Huepar adapter's fine tune rotation is pretty low quality and its only good for a target up to 20ft away. Any distance over that, it gets really hard b/c it just doesnt have quality gears inside. You can buy whats called a "high precision manual rotation stage." These are rotation devices that have very fine control spin. Much higher quality gears than the Huepar. I bought a cheap $60 one and I can lock onto targets up to 40 ft away. The more expensive ones have better /finer incremental rotation. For the really high end you can buy the motorized version which is an electronic device that controls the rotation stage. Laser level adapters just aren't made with any quality. My Huepar only lasted less than a year and 2 of my motion gears are pretty much stripped.

Best fine tune spin control is to buy a manual high precision rotation stage (60mm - 100mm diameter). They have much better gears than laser level adapters and so much easier to lock onto a distant target.

I bought a new laser that came with the rm10 in the case. Very disappointed that the rm10 wont fit the pole clamp. My old Bosch laser kit had the bracket that fits. Don´t know what they were thinking with the design of the rm10 :( The magnets on it are not really strong enough either. The laser comes off very easy, I fear it will end with it falling off some day.

Agree, it would have made sense to make the RM10 fit the Pole Bracket - considering how long that bracket has been available. I think the RM10 is designed to be used as a Standalone Mount, the track system on the back which you add the ceiling clamp to is totally different to the BM1.

there must be a lot of head scratching figuring out all these combinations of adapters and brackets for all the models. A real pain bosch has created. Why can't they just make a telescoping tripod that goes up 10 ft.
