Is the RM2 mount a direct fit for the Gll3-300g laser? I have a cheaper Bosch laser with the rm2 mount and I love using it. Want to make sure it will direct fit on before buying? Thanks.

Yes you can use the RM2 base with the gll330 laser, but it should come with a similar stand that is designed for it. It's the BM1 if I'm not mistaken.

Which stand mount is that? It's not the one that comes with the GLL3-330CG. But I want the fine adjustment knob. May go for the new Milwaukee one since it comes with it

It's the RM-2, it came with the combo laser. I wish it came with the gll3-330 also, I like it a lot.

@@tooltipswithtommy sweet, I was curious if that one fit this laser. Does it have to be removed to mount to a tripod? Or does it have a connector on the bottom of the mount?

@@kevinvella8879 unfortunately it does not mount directly to a tripod. It covers the holes on the bottom of the laser needed for the tripod mount. It does have magnetic back, so if the tripod had a metal mount somehow?

I bought the GLL330CG about a year ago and it is a kick ass laser level and I love the hell out of it. There are 3 accessories that are critical to make it (and really every other crossline laser) useable though. Depending on what you do for work, you may only need 2 of them but that would be - 1) Laser receiver (Bosch LR8 works really well with it) so you can find the laser line outside when the sun is bright. If you'll be using it inside, you probably wont need it b/c its hits walls/ceilings with a very bright green line that you can easily see 2) Telescoping pole - so you can raise/lower your laser level and laser line to a certain height point. I bought the Bosch BP350 but theres several different brands that will work that are a little cheaper. 3) Fine tune adapter mount. Mainly its the fine control spin that you need from this. If you're gonna be using it to generate a line on a floor or top of joists and you need to line up on 2 points, then this is where you're gonna need fine control rotation. Best way i can explain is if you're using it to line up on 2 points that are within 20 ft of each other, then you'll probably be fine with a cheap Huepar fine tune adapter that gives you spin, left/right, back/forth, up/down. If you're using it to line up on points that are over 20 ft apart, this is where you're gonna need really good fine control spin because the further away they are the more fine control spin you'll need to line up on those 2 points. There's these things called "manual high precision rotation stages" that you can order on internet. They're most commonly used for optical or microscope attachments but you can hook your laser level to them as well. Just make sure you're buying one that has a 1/4inch holes to put a screw in so you can attach the laser level to. Even if it doesnt have a 1/4 screw hole, you can buy adapter screws to get around that problem. I just bought a $60 60mm diameter one off walmart.com and it has so much better spin control than the Huepar mount. Dont buy anything less than 60mm diameter though b/c laser level will be too heavy for it. Those can go anywhere from 60 dollars to a few thousand dollars.

We will be using any 3 x 360 laser we buy with a Stabila tripod that has micro height (up and down) adjustment capability. What I'd like to know is whether or not the Bosch GLL3-330CG Green Laser has the ability to be micro-adjusted in any direction while mounted to a tripod? Thank you.

@@tooltipswithtommy Any idea, Tommy, about how one might go about putting the Bosch GLL3-330CG on a regular surveyor's tripod and getting a left-right adjustment? Do you think that the Bosch RM 2 adapter would offer this adjustment capability? Based on what I'm seeing, the RM 2 adapter isn't ready to be mounted to a tripod, but I'm not sure about that.

@@tooltipswithtommy Thanks again for the reply, Tommy, but without a way to mount the GLL3-330CG to a tripod AND micro-adjust it left and right, it's no good to us. I may have to bite the $$$ bullet and go with the Milwaukee 3632-21 3-Plane Green Laser.

The intersections of the 3 planes are all perpendicular, so yes it gives you plumb reference. But not an actual dot. I kind of cover it in the video.
