    At least it did its job after 10 minutes of filling. Newer Models count the water rushing in using a tiny wheel and a reed contact. If the thoughput is too low you get a penalty in form of a tap symbol flashing and the machine stops. I can understand the enginnering standpoint but if the whole cycle takes a little longer who cares? Of course its better when its fixed. Good work!

    My 20 year old Bosch Exxcel dishwasher would run but not fill up on the rinse cycle, I had to manually put 2 litres of water in for it to start the rinsing. Followed your vid and YEA its all working great again probably better than ever. Best vid on KZread really great thank you so much.

    Thanks for posting this video - the entire top left corner of the water matrix in my Bosch dishwasher and the float chamber were entirely clogged with gunk, so taking it apart to clean was the only option. I needed to leave undiluted bleach in the matrix for 24 hours to dissolve all the material, but it worked. Just keep flushing it and shaking it vigorously once the bleach has penetrated the areas with the worst build up.

    Where did you pour in the bleach and how did you get it into the labyrinth at the top left that zig zags up and down. In mine I've seen liquid run from the far left pipe up into it. But getting it done the obstacle course but it's really hard

  • @brianlization

    @brianlization

    @@mrcneale I took the whole thing out of the machine (like in the video) and then turned it upside down. Then when it is upside down, you pour the bleach in the hole that is directly above the corner where the float chamber is (ie. the hole that is directly below the float chamber when installed in the machine) and it was not too hard to manoeuvre the liquid where you need it to sit.

    The stills at the start are to point out the two front screws, inside the door, the two clips at the rear of the top panel. You can then remove the left hand side panel by pulling it backwards and up. My theory was if you can't remove these yourself then you really shouldn't be fiddling inside one of these! Hope you find the video helpful in the quest to keep these from landfill.

    I love the information shared on the internet. Thank you for this. It concerns me that the build up of material in the water inlet pipes and valves reduces the effectiveness and useful life of the machine but the manufacturers are not being required to include some easy remedies. Shouldn’t there be a mechanism to get cleaning material into the area through the inlet pipe periodically so that it can be flushed through in the same way as central heating radiators can be de-gunked?

  • @Sunsetseven

    @Sunsetseven

    2 жыл бұрын

    This would be too difficult for the manufacturers to implement when this was designed. Now however a little bit of computing power and some sensors could scene the flow rate going down and set off a self cleaning cycle ;-) Would love to see this implemented by a manufacturer!

    So I have managed to do everything in the video. The matrix fills up easily and quickly. It cascades into the pressure chamber and the float appears to work. However, water still isn’t flowing into the machine. When I set the quick wash cycle, I hear buzzing and whirring but the inside of the machine remains bone dry. Would you know what that could be and provide a link to a video for that? Much appreciated.

    I'm getting e15 on my Bosch Dishwasher. Water comes in the bottom tray and lifts the float switch. I've been testing it and it only floods about 1 in 5 washes and I can't see where the water is coming from. Could it be from the matrix, which looks gunged up , or the float unit?
