Bro! Thank you my wife smiling again. First time replacing the brushes and done it like a hero thanks to your very clear walkthrough. Only struggle was popping the brushes in and out but I rewind your video and no probs. Thanks again I will keep and eye on your channel.

You're a lifesaver! I have this exact same machine and all of a sudden it stopped spinning. A bit of googling led me to your video and I managed to repair the machine myself. Only problem now is my wife is bummed that she doesn't get a new, bigger machine :D

Brilliant video. Thanks for posting. Saved me time and money. Just a trick I ended up doing was to get a short pencil, slide it inside the spring coils. Pop the whole pencil into the recess and then slide the pencil out leaving the spring coils inside. This made doing the ‘blind’ side so much easier without the coils catching on everything.

I had exactly the same flashing light error code and cleared it the same way that you did. The drum would still not turn so I fitted new brushes using your helpful video. One of the old ones was worn down to the copper wire. I couldn't get to the bottom brush (old age - mine not the machine) so I removed the motor. It's only held in place by two bolts and then slides off the four supports. Luckily for me, it all worked when re-assembled. Thanks again. You were a great help.

Great, glad you got it fixed, doing the brushes with the motor in the machine is tricky especially if you haven't done it before. Have a look at the other parts in this series, it is worth taking the motor out and giving it a blast with compressed air, to clean out any carbon dust from your old brushes. these motors have a habit of short circuiting inside and then they are not so easy to repair.

Super video! Just repaired my washing machine following it and with espares parts. To get easier to the second carbon brush, I just layer down the machine to the other side and used a mirror too. Thank you very much!

I can’t help with the fault but I do have a Bosch machine. If you select rinse and spin and then press the Aqua plus (as you did in this video ) the machine should then just carry out spin cycle.

  • @bootsowen

It depends on the model and whether you have a splittable tub. Either way I don’t know. But search on parts website by model number. Cheaper to buy as kit and the seal is not an o ring it is a seal and these are cheaper in the kits. Thanks

Just how often do the bushes on the motors go as i have a 2011 Bosh Classixx 6 machine that a pensioner had owned for a short period of time due to her passing away recently I''d say the machine by looking how clean it is had about 6 years use in its 10 year life
