I always wondered why the writers had to succumb to the fan-base by saying the character's first name to their children instead of use the "your mom", "your dad" pronouns... I get it, you don't want to have the fan-base unsettled but... think about it...Instead of speaking to a 5 year old child saying "your dad" the characters we grew up say the dad's name as if the kid even knows... The writers try so hard to make this show believable with that theme of "peace" achieved and family life-afterward that turns into new problems in the ninjutsu world... And, then the name thing works against that believability and makes even the relationships with characters seem so impersonal (say when Naruto talks about Sasuke to the daughter...)
