As a real atleti fan (not the one who still supports the cholo..) Joao has no problem at all with the finish. He was playing 50 yards from goal every game and has 2-3 maximum shots per game, now he will have the opportunity to be a real threat offensively.. He will regain his confidence and then his real joy of playing. This guy knows everything, just the Cholo broke him but didn't destroy him.

Thanks for being one of the few Atleti fans that value objectivity. It was ugly to see how many Atleti fans started treating Felix recently. In my book he did nothing wrong and was always respectful to club and fans. He's not a striker, nor is he a CLINICAL finisher, but he has above average finishing for sure.

The fans are just not honest with Simeone. He no longer has Filipe Arda Juanfran Tiago Gabi .., top class players but above all smart. He is overwhelmed by his time and his system, he tarnishes his history by becoming the coach who will never have known how to adapt in the future..

@@McNulty_ simeone was genius from 2012-2019. His time is up now. That Atletico that was so good was dependent upon those players. All were fighters and humble players no superstars. Felix by nature is a superstar he couldn't succeed in that system.

@@javadthemaestro yes and also smart players are rare nowadays, physical ability and pace are all about .. a team doesnt know anymore how to defend a lead like 1-0 in CL or World cup, argentina struggle vs Netherlabds and France with a pretty good advantage at the leaderbord. the « remontada » are not rare anymore. Playing defensively isnt working now .. for many many reasons .. (one of them is simply that the players were better and smarter 10 years earlier, without pace a number « 10 » was the brain of the team ..

Even with current situation and the season that hasn't gone what we expected they still are able to switch the focus on the UCL and produce a real proper performance and enough chances to get that win or goals against one of the current leading germany teams in Bundesliga. We played exceptionally well for some reason, just very unlucky that no forward is clinical enough. Hopefully with the 3 weeks time we have before second leg, the team can gel and actualy start playing like this every single matches from now on, but with better finishing. We created so many dangerous chances and hope we can convert it next matches.

Mudryk is a great player though and I love him but his first touch is very bàd very bad just too far from good and the fact that he is a forward won't help us if he doesn't work on it as asap. The most stupidest and annoying thing is that Harvertz will still be the Striker in line up against the saints on Saturday. It will very devastating if that happens again. That is when I will confirm that this Coach is not a serious coach that mean business handling this club like an Everton club.

1. Havertz is not a striker, he's an attacking midfielder/winger out of position 2. He literally sets up chances for others all the time, he's contributing in attack, he should just be used smarter

Mudryk Possession and Pass is probably 50/50 imo. Watch him carefully. Incomplete passes, can't pass defenders.

Nah, you looked better than them in the second half but they were definitely better in the first half. It was quite an even match overall. They had the edge at home but will still be hard to beat in the second leg. Not to mention they’re in insane form as a team right now.
