LYRICS:
take another look
at yourself
tell me what do you see
your souls reflection
is it what it used to be
this is bigger than you and me
alarms as you wake from this dream
human fellowship is sacred
this is bigger than you and me
answers revolve around our heads
like figures of our imagination
measures are taken to purge
pleasure and take life in as pain
which direction are you heading
escape this pressure
as we move along waiting here
our days repeat and increase
your default setting
runs your life secretly
separate yourself from the machine
embrace your own identity

Otakar Bartos I don't put much stock in genres, categories or the like. From what I can see, they're just adjectives people use to argue over: Death Metal, Technical Death Metal, Metalcore, post neo thrash vegan grindcore, etc. For me, there are two styles of music. What moves me and what doesn't.

I agree. I saw them open for August Burns Red at the Palladium in Worcester MA a few years ago. When they performed this song it was one of the most violent moshpits I've ever been a part of. On par with metal festivals I've been to in Quebec at Rockfest (Lamb of God, Incubus, Disturbed... the idea is that there were plenty of heavier bands than the ones I listed, nobody to this day knows of them, but they were there lol). The Born of Osiris reception was off the charts with this song. Literally people crying while trying to stay alive in the mosh. Crying not because of the injuries that everyone sustained, but because this track invokes so much emotion, performed live.

This video shows the machine controlling the earth. With the X X seal on the building tower in the background. This is the machine that recycles, controls time. It is our finite prison. This earth is the realm in which moth and rust destroy. This is what many call Satan. The god of this world. The god of time and space. This is who they worship. The destroyer.

The two ensembles don't approach things exactly the same. But there are things about both ensembles approaches that have more in common than not. In actuality, I really feel that this band hasn't even gotten close to what they are really capable of. This is really a very good band guys. Keep your eyes on them. I must agree with them, although it is a great song and smoke pot guys, it's structure is a bit boring, there are 2 rhythm/bass riffs and 3 sections that instrumentaly repeat, the intro the chorus and the verse. which is pretty normal, and what I like about most BoO songs is that they're not normal, they're progressive and different

This album ties with the discovery for me. This one i feel they went for more catchy and repetitive themes, which really gives each song its own identity. This is something i really admire about this album, given the bands technical and whacky-ass structuring in the past. I dont see it so much as "boring" as i do catchy.

David Castellanos i dont find this catchy at all I find it boring those odd time signatures and nasty riffs on their previous albums are what's really catchy (to me at least) and the random breakdowns were well done these just seem random and just put in for the sake of sounding heavy and the dubstep is atrocious like what is this are we in 2012 again with dubstep in metal cmon this album has nothin on the discovery (the masterpiece) and even the first two albums are way more memorable. But I hope these dudes get back on it n make a sick album again soon

It's because people decide to compare new material to previous material and conclude it's worth based on their own subjective conception of what music should sound like. I believe music is imperfect and perfect simultaneously, and should ALWAYS be looked at in an objective manner.

TJBDBand The problem is that you didn't leave room for a means by which the listener measures commendable talent/hard work and can reward it. By your logic, a monkey hitting the side of a tree would be respectable enough to have someone give their time of day to listen to. I argue that this band exhibited much more work in their on The Discovery than any other and have fallen from the grace that is that album. This isn't a matter of subjective conceptions of what music sounds like, its the case of a band putting out a stellar album that invoked much praise and popularity, and then shortly after released this carbon copy of what every other band in the hardcore (sham) genre is producing. We might as well be listening to those no talent chelsea grin idiots.
