    This piece also COMPLETELY downplays Nick’s role (Frank Sr.’s brother), whose testimony was really what broke the case wide open. Nick is the one who was ACTUALLY member of the Outfit, Frank Jr. was an associate protected under his father’s wing at best (even he would tell you that). Nick was the one who was guilty of betrayal more than anyone, Frank Jr. was treated like shit by his father and his uncle really actually looked out for him more in the end.....

    I found it interesting that Frank Cullotta actually said he felt regret Tony Spilotro was beaten to death and not just shot in the head. Tony was going to kill Frank which is why Frank flipped. So, in a sense this was a feeling of mercy Cullotta had for his old boss.
