Borkum - The Unexpected Discovery (2022)
Wadden Island Borkum - it is amazing to visit the island 'Borkum'. It is one of the eight inhabited islands of the Germany. Borkum, Juist, Norderney, Baltrum, Langeoog, Spiekeroog, Wangerooge, Mellum. The island is located above the Netherlands, but somehow belongs to German. I personally loved to visit this well organized island with it's variety of transport, nature, history and nature. It is accessible for old and young and relatively small.
The ship leaves from the Eemshaven or a Seaport in the province Groningen, The Netherlands. After a one hour journey, passing various beautiful and really big ships, you arrive in the lovely seaport on Borkum. From the Seaport it's stil a 15 minute (7,5km) drive with the local train (Borkumer Kleinbahn) to the main municipality 'Borkum'. With a bike you can cross the island in 30 minutes or take the advanced route through the dunes and spend some beautiful hours.

War schon des Öfteren in die Karibik aber 2022 Borkum entdeckt und lieben gelernt. Eine schöne Insel mit viel Raum und Verschiedenheit. Einfach toll.

Ich denke, es ist eine schöne, übersichtliche Insel. Besonders der Zug ist einzigartig im Vergleich zu den mir bekannten Inseln.

@@VincentdeKoning nette Nachbarn, die Holländer. Wir hatten früher immer Schüleraustausch und waren jeweils bei Gastfamilien untergebracht in Groningen.

In der vergangenheit hatten wir auch einen austausch mit deutschen studenten, aber in einem anderen gebiet - in der nähe von Nordhorn. Es war eine schöne Zeit!

De bouwstijl is inderdaad heel anders; het lijkt meer op een kustplaats dan eilandbebouwing zoals wij dat kennen in Nederland. Toch, als je 10 minuten fietst zit je heerlijk in de duinen / natuur.
