Very true. When Churchill messed up the Dardanelles campaign in WW1, he enlisted in the Army and went to fight in the trenches for several weeks. Meanwhile 8+ children are seeking dna tests in the hope they prove that Johnson is not their father after all!

Another Johnson, the one born in Lichfield more than a few years ago, famously said something about Patriotism being the last refuge of a scoundrel. Goodness, he certainly foresaw the current Johnson's modus operandi by more than a few hundred years. Consider too, our current Johnson was born in the US of A, so in theory BoJo could lawfully run for President. Hold that ghastly thought. I challenge you to explain which parts are "bilge" and why? If you're a Johnson supporter there's pages and pages of bilge from him so you should be qualified to spot it.

So in his entire time all he did was a railway in London, which started before him and ended after him and 1 hospital that may be completed in the future also in London and that is all he did in his whole tenure, as Prime Minister and Mayor

We’ll be saying the same about Labour in ten years, and the circle will continue. I’ve no love for the tories, but if you think it will change much when Labour get in, it won’t. Labour will have the same problem the tories have, there’s not enough going in to fund this country’s needs. They might increase taxes to the wealthy, but will gloss over the consequences. Honesty, integrity, ethics, and morality are pushed out of political parties be they left or right. Maybe it’ll be different this time, we can only hope.

When I was listening to that letter being read out on Friday evening on the BBC (sorry, James!) I kept being tripped up by the lies. I realise now that James has been through it, that I was so distracted by the lies I heard, I missed half of them!

Completely brilliant! Thank you, James. Wonderfully incisive analysis of Boris' self-serving lie-packed resignation letter. Yes, this should be seen by everyone - particularly new voters and all who've voted Conservative over the last decade.
