    I am really glad that wells are recharged by rainwater harvesting. Yes we do it. 1.The last suggestion is the best suggestion to use open well water during rainy season, yes i am also of the same opinion, infact i had given in writing to the the Jilla Panchayath ten years back to order all panchayaths to clean up the government open wells and provide open well water in the rainy seaon to the families in pipe line as it rains heavily in the coastal area of karnataka. It saves 4 months underneath water if done so, and use the bore well water other times. Your suggestion is to be taken seriously by all. 2. A lot of water is wasted by sprinklers. Why cant we insist drip irrigation as it is working in western countries like Israel? The expertise help is needed when they face problems etc and by giving only subsidy the problem is not solved. Some have given up drip irrigation due to silt etc. I am sure water conservative department takes extra care to popularise this drip irrigation system among the village aggriculturists by giving timely assistance to solve the problems. I wish u all the best.

    Thank you very much for your feedback. I can add to your line of thinking 1. I am sorry to say that normally the Govt projects are done on need based and for immediate relief only, but not based on sustainable principles. For example, off late Govt, if releases money for borewell recharging, then few are done but not maintained for a long time. Here community participation playes a major role for mass action and on a long run. 2.Drip irrigation is being promoted by departments and the farmers are using but not to a large extent. Now scientific cleaning tanks and methods are available locally but the incentive to agricultural yield and not by free power supply and water. Hope slowly all will understand the need of preserving water and water source. Keep suggesting to improve my presentations.🙏

    Dear sir I have seen a video in which local farmer uses the same outlet pipe which delivers water from the deep bore well (with the help of electrical motor pump) to send back collected rain water into the bore well. He creates a square pit in the field to which in normal days (with the help of a flexible hose pipe attached to the water outlet pipe from the bore well) he pumps water from the bore well. The collected water in the pit got distributed to the field by a canal . In rainy days the pit collects rain water from the field. He switches on the motor pump and as usual pumps the water to the pit Then he immerses the flexible hose pipe in the pit full of water.Then he switches of the motor pump. Now the water in the pit got sucked in to the flexible hose - of course which is already connected to the delivery pipe from the bore well. So the same pipe which pumped out water now sucks the water back in to the bore well. He simply uses a nylon mesh to cover the flexible hose which filters solid impurities. Is this a correct method? Please explain.

    Thank you very much for your comments and also information. This method is also possible, specially in the fields and farms where fresh rainwater collected is not contaminated with dirt or mud from the runoff water. If the water is not clean, the pump might get chocked. Technically it is safe and you are directly feeding the deep aquifer with CLEAN WATER ONLY. I have also seen runoff water/storm water being fed into dead borewell. That is also fine as far as dead borewell is concerned. The reason i have not touched this method is because i have focused on domestic borewells which provide drinking water in the cities and moreover one can hardly find such huge collection of water to feed borewell. ROOFTOP rainwater is much safe to harvest and also simultaneously use it. Thank you once again for sharing the information 🙏

    Even for small houses same technique can be adopted. Only care to be taken is that, the pit we are make should not destabilize the foundation near by. For small houses the pit size can be samll say upto 1mx1m or even you can put RCC rings and allow and fill the outer side well packed stones.

    Thanks you sir for the video with detailed explanation. I have a doubt. If the same bore well is used to both recharge and take water out with help from submersible motor, then do we need more than required hp motor to pull the water considering the holes in the pipe and it might not be creating enough vacuum to pump the water to the surface. Kindly help to explain.

  • @waterislife-rajendrakalbav2004

    @waterislife-rajendrakalbav2004

    No. Mr. Tapas. Same motor which you are already using is enough. The holes in the casing pipe does not create any vacuum not trouble the motor. The holes are top 10feet only. The motor is more than 100 feet below. The holes or slits on top only feed the water level below and helps to increase the water level. That's all.

    Adding roof water directly after filtering is done by some individual. Normal it is not done for drinking purpose, but in agriculture purpose in dry areas. If leaving directly, it is better to see that the intake pipe reaches the bottem water level. Otherwise with gushing of water from top, there might be chances of caving in and block your borewell. Choice is yours 🙏

    What will happen if we drain clean water directly from top of boarwel outlet..?

  • @waterislife-rajendrakalbav2004

    @waterislife-rajendrakalbav2004

    Жыл бұрын

    Sorry for the late reply. There is a fear that if one leaves what are directly from the top the water may gush inside the tube and it may pullout small particles on the wall of the tube and on a letter date it might block the bore well all together. Sometimes caving in may happen. In my system water is made to slowly percolate in a smooth manner from all the sites at equal speed which is much safer and cautious approach. There are instances where people have let the water in directly from the top and have suffered no problem so far. It is up to the owner to take a call in this regard.

    The method i suggested is for drinking water borewell only. For agricultural borewells in the farm or in estates can ne recharged with water nearby nala by reverse suction method. Its like keep the borewell outlet in the nala. Switch on the pump. As water comes out in pipe dip the end of pipe in the water and switch off the pump. The same pipe will suck the nala water into the borewell. You can do this every day till the nala dries.
