Feel like this mode could be amazing if the run continued after the boss, so you could extract and keep all your loot after the first boss, or risk continuing while it gets harder but with better drops.

Id really like randomised between 3 bosses similar to the cartels event and randomised 5 challenges to gain a new unique gun to extract

I've got to say this mode looks very bare bones. However, If they add to it and make it have more ways to play or even a kill count for better loot as you go through this could honestly be a great way to have characters get loot on level or even just level up and do something different I hope they innovate this rather then just leaving it in its current state.

there a circle making the map smaller and theirs not waves theirs just enemies scatterd around the map you can skip to the boss and theirs supply drops and you can extract loot

This looks like it would be fun a maximum of 5 times

I’d love not only random bosses, but random enemies (or at least more variation around the map). I’d love there to be a robot section, all I’ve found so far are bandit, animal, and Maliwan sections.

I can’t wait to try out the new legendaries.

i wish enemies drop weapons more often. or you getting more rewards based on how many kills you get. it seems pretty boring tbh you just drop and ignore everything and look for chests

Have to agree with ya. I don't think it's inherently his fault for just doing chest runs. Probably just means there's nothing to do in the actual game mode. I was really looking forward to trying this one out, but after seeing 2-3 videos of it, just seems boring.

@@ttuncm I agree. If the gamemode isn't even out yet and he's already doing allegiance runs than the gameplay is kinda bad... It's not really appealing to me. And you're farming for guns that you can't even use in this, but only in the 'base game' where there isn't new end game content to use the guns :/

When you kill something, it should fill a bar and give rewards for it. Else yes, you'll just run passed enemies like stupid :(

I think it would be fun to have 3 extra bosses (just named enemies, nothing fancy) on the map that can give you one of your action skills when you kill them Iron bear would just get the normal weapon down a skill tree Maybe FL4K would also get the pet of that skill tree so that Gamma Burst could still be used

I think that adding these 3 things would make the mode have more replayability 1. Have side tasks to do for more loot 2. 3 - 5 bosses to cycle through 3. Finding super rare items that give you random skills

Can’t wait for randomiser for bl3. Imagine zane’s double skill tree ability mixed with both fade away and iron bear. Just pure crits dakka.

I won’t lie. Arms race seems pretty dead when you aren’t playing it like this.

Imagine this with mehem modifiers. Imagine the nightmare

Gearbox has been trying out a lot of new stuff between Proving Grounds, Takedowns, Arms Race, Chaos Chambers and the PLCs. Hopefully they're learning something from all this and put it all into something awesome in the future. Maybe a Takedown/Proving Ground where you go in with fresh gear in the style of Arms Race?

My most recent playthrough I've decided to only get gear from arms race, obviously until I get to arms race I can use what ever but I dump it afterwards

This game mode looks really cool, but I would like to see objectives like if you never go into FFYL you unlock a secret boss area or something and random boss encounters to give it actual Rogue-like elements. Hoping there are a lot of secrets to unlock for re-playability.

i'd like some objectives in the map that give maybe better loot or something, another cool idea would be to allow some way to enable some skills/ action skill, and random bosses would be nice too.

I feel like there should be an achievement mail for completing the arms race while only using one manufacturer's weapons, where we get a unique legendary only for completing that achievement

What if Arms Race allowed for you to set modifiers? Like even some like allowing it to randomly set a manufacturer allegiance for your character among other things. Though it also randomizing the boss would be good too.

Does anyone know if this mode will be like this when released? Because right know it's boring and it feels half-baked, i think putting some rogue-lite elements and meta progression would really improve this mode making it more interesting. I mean it's not free, you pay for that.

Nope. Hunt snipers don't transfer damage.

all the enemy designs are like... similar but a little off, instead of purple anointed its black revenants, the speedy blink-teleporting maliwan soldiers look more grunge punky and wear COV style helmets, cov tinks have maliwan style techno visors, the cov shield guys have maliwan beehive energy shields, and i think i saw something called flesh bear in a video thumbnail? and then theres the new vault hunter skins, is gearbox aiming for an alternate universe theme for season 2 content?

I played it once and even that wasn't fun. I hope they make it better

Arms Race NEEDS a reset button that resets the map, rather than having to go back to Sanctuary... Would love to see them make this a ROGUE-LITE rather than a ROGUE-LIKE. Now hear me out... Add "Torgue Token" (a system like it) where mobs have a chance to drop tokens and boss always drops a buttload of tokens. Then you can use those tokens for a - Mr. Flexington Torque-like vending machine full of GOOD guns like Earls vending machine with legendaries. - Upgrade and clean up the dome-hideout in the area before starting Arms Race. Help make this echo-net show LOOK like the best show on Pandora! - Unlock Venders like you would see in Sanctuary. A big business like Arms Race tends to attract small businesses around it. - Unlock mission giver that give objectives on the map to do for better loot. - Unlock the ability to drop in with a red chest spawn. - Unlockable shop that allowes to re-roll anoints There are so many more ideas, but they will probably never update the Arms Race to be a Rogue-LITE. As someone who has graduated from college with a BA in Game Design, I know changing something like this is a HUGE ASK.

I hope they expand on it but don't let it become ridiculous I also think there should be arms race unique legendarys ( you do get to keep the gear if I remember their tweets correctly if not then no they shouldn't lol )

in my 1st run i got no shield and only pistols and launchers, I was desperate for loot and ended up being chain downed into a loss.

A BL3 battle Royale gamemode would be really sick, the looting mechanics and the gazillions of weapons, shields and grenade combinations could make it really interesting. Mobs would be included in certain areas with each mobs respected biom. Also the weapon mechanics and gunplay is extremely smooth. Obviously there would be balancing issues with elements seen as I’m guessing each of the, idk, 40players? Would be health and then shields, so corrosive and cryo wouldn’t be too great but radiation and shock would be pretty broken. This idea is just food for thought but I understand this is going against what borderlands really is, a rpg looter shooter. However I do think it could bring new life into the game
