I like the pseudo stereo enhancement of the music pieces. I've stereo widened this mock start up and converted it into a 6 channel surround sound WMA file using Adobe Audition 3 which I found on the internet, and converted it online to a Dolby Digital AC-3 5.1 Surround Sound file and it sounds incredible.

Hi. Thanks for watching my video and your kind thought. It is the exact wording that Border TV used to start up their morning programmes. I obviously missed my 'calling' as I always wanted to be a continuity announcer for ITV. All the best to you, Nigel.

Border’s pretty consistent of their Chopsticks B logo, plus this startup theme ain’t bad, just not Great ether. Liked the Narration though.

Hi ML. This was their startup arrangement since 1964. It sounds dated now, but I love it all the same. The narration is by me, so I'm thrilled that you like it. They are the exact words used during the routine. Best wishes Nigel

@@nigelcash5284 I rather like this sedate mid 60’s music, Border had a static ident up until the generic 1989 one, then I think they had a couple of their own ones until the great Granada takeover and the hearts idents.

@@jane1975 You are very well informed. I took the first tune 'Chi Chi' from an original recording that I had made, in 1979 at a place in Dumfries & Galloway, named 'Barend'. The other two tunes are sourced frrom elsewhere. Best wishes, Nigel.

Chopsticks? The Border symbol is clearly a representation of "Sound and Vision" being an "Eye" and a Tuning Fork.

Hi. The Border Television logo represented a TV screen with the 'chopsticks' being the border between England and Scotland. As the 'chopsticks' separate, this is representative of the Solway Firth, the seaway between Cumbria (Eng) and Dumfries & Galloway (Sco). Quite clever geographically. I like your point concerning the eye in the logo which was also used for ATV and CBS in the USA. Best wishes, Nigel.
