The funny thing is I remembered that on the down low, people who were discovering BTS back in the day (before superm) were saying BTS were like the Avengers. But it was never official. I just believe you don't give yourself nicknames of such grandeur. It should come naturally but oh well I guess lol

    at 15:47 i think something youre missing thats key to understanding is MAJORITY of kpop groups do not have say in their music, they dont have the opportunity to show passion or give input they are handed a song and told to perform it a certain way. theres a few exceptions most from hybe, small labels and a few groups from the big 3 but everyone else doesnt. they dont "love and care" for this music because regardless they dont have a choice but to make it. so all the following trends, and all the other similar things these groups are doing are all because the label forced them to not because they wanted to. groups work hard yes but theyre given everything they need to do none of them have the choice to do something different. bighit was created because bang pd was tired of that system and wanted to do something different he used to work as a producer for the big 3 labels mostly JYP and then he created bighit entertainment and put bts together and had THEM do their own music 1 because he wanted artists true artists not people who were handed a song. and 2 because he didnt have a large budget so even if he had wanted to give them the music he would not be able to pay for top song writers and he wouldve had to do the work all by himself. hes a song writer and producer himself and he has credits on /some/ bts songs but his first priority is for bts to create their own music. because of bts success thats why you are starting to see other groups get a little creative freedom and its one of the reasons hybe is acquiring labels its not to become a monopoly like so many kpop stans claim but its to make things better for the groups under the labels. many of the groups that werent under hybe are under different small labels and many of those groups said "after becoming part of hybe we were given creative freedom" bang pd's mission has always been to change the industry to become a better environment thats safe, healthy, and creative friendly for the artists and its slowly happening which is why these other labels are trying to stop it, along with trying to harm all the groups under hybe. majority of negative articles that come out about hybe groups are negative and its literally being paid for by the big 3 higher ups theyre the same people who always had control over award shows, media outlets, tv stations even connections within the government and police. its very corrupt and its why bts has been targets since 2013. its not just they faced hard times theyve been targets since they were young boys and now theyre grown men and are still being targeted, blacklisted, sabotaged, smear campaigns etc its why they and we were so angry about their enlistment because every other man in korea can postpone or have some leeway or even the current president never even served but bts members have been harassed about enlisting since 2018 when jin was only 26 years old 5 whole years of being harassed because the big 3 labels decided to petition the government to get kpop idols exempt and used bts as examples even though bts and bighit never attended any meetings, never signed any petitions and never wanted any special treatment. but bts got all the hate from the general public because the media is also controlled by big 3. then the government kept mentioning it every chance they got while using bts as softpower for all the things they wanted to do with other countries. this is why when bts performed for the world expo in Busan in october of 2022 it was a free concert they told us on livestream they did this so they can perform for army one more time as 7 not for anything else. during that concert they performed cypher part 3 knowing the government officials are in the audience. they changed cypher 3 lyrics to "f*** you i dont care you cant control my sh*t" they YELLED these lyrics you can feel how angry they were. and then the next day they waited for government buildings to close for the day and media to go home for the day then bighit released the statement that bts members will be serving in the military. they were supposed to tell the government before the public because the government wanted to use them for many other things and kept saying theyll be exempt if they did this or that. bts never wanted that so thats why they announced it the way they did. then western/world media publicly shamed the korean government for sending bts to the military basically bts embarrassed their government. to all these people in power bts and bighit are public enemy number 1 which suga mentions a few times in his solo music. and the real reason all these things keep happening is cause bts refuse to play anyones game they refuse to do anything corrupt or illegal and bighit also refuses. they do everything by the book even if it leaves them at a disadvantage. they wont buy their own albums, they wont pay for radio spins, they wont pay to tarnish other groups in media, they wont shake hands with either industry to step up the ladder because armys is what got them up the ladder in the first place. they would rather go down the ladder than become corrupt which is what they discuss in so much music. sorry for ranting but billboard pissed me off today before i watched this video. theyre cutting out streams and sales just to keep first jimin and suga from getting number 1 albums on billboard 200. and just so much more BS. its all interconnected. bts just wanna release their real artistry that they pour their hearts into and hope for good results but the industry stops us from giving them good results because theyre not getting any money or benefit from bts success. i feel bad for the idols and artists under all these other labels and hope they leave and join hybe so they can be real artists.

    especially now hot100 doesn't make any sense, it's basically a radio chart but it us important when bts enters hot100 because unlike the rest of the chart they do it DESPITE the industry because bts has an immense force, they are at the forefront of bb fighting against independent artists. just looking at how bts performs at the chart gives an inside on the adjustments bb is making behind the scenes. and it's nuts to me that no one cares and outsiders are faster to jump at us for mass buying than to point out industry's faults...

    the thing is BTS are not even k-pop. i said what i said, k-pop is an industry where they have good-looking people who sing well sing songs that were already written and sung by somebody else, K-pop idols are performers. But BTS write their own songs, produce their own music, dance to them, and perform them. They are as good as any other artist worldwide, and even better because of all the hardships that they went through, and how they're still going. it's very unfair to put them strictly in a K-pop category because while it is a good industry, they're not that. that's why you'll find a bunch of BTS army who are not K-popers

I watched it here in the UK on the live stream. We've had Jimin's Face album and his billboard number 1 until Billboard removed well over half his physical sales numbers and made him drop down the bill board charts. We've had Suga's (aka Agust D) record breaking Album D-Day it' smashed Drakes previous record. Suga sold over 1million physical copies of his album on it's release day. They only Rapper ever to do that. He's just finished his USA sell out tour and has 3 more dates on the Asia side of the tour before he enlists. RM on his vlive when we said take a rest said I can't I have to get theses songs finished before the military. Don't know if that's another album he's planning to be released once he's enlisted or if it's songs for the BTS as a group. He's was the first of them to release a New Album Indigo. We are eagerly awaiting V and JK's albums to drop. We've just had Jimin on the OST for Fast N Furious X the latest which was released 2 days ago and I watched last night at the cinema. 10:22 re: the Christmas songs point of yours - they get playlisting, I’m sure of it, and also BB weighs radio disproportionately and we all know what radio is like during that time of year.

  • @Exentaser
    @Exentaser Жыл бұрын

    The end-of-the-year cumulative is for the whole year & our radio play is close to 0 in the US. BB are corrupt; we ARMYs know that to the core, but that's not it. And YES due to radio play - we are "out-streamed" by Christmas songs because due to radioplay stations repeat these songs and our streams are usually half-filtered... The point in the beginning is that it's bs if your album debuts at #1 how there won't be A SINGLE song on bb100? And these #1 kpop groups on hot200 are not making ANY sense whatsoever due to no entries on hot100 - whether kpopies like it or not. And let me tell u there is no more sabotaged group/artist on BB than BTS - and that's a FACT. *Regarding the "k-pop" categories - they were created to limit BTS only; none of the other kpop groups have the numbers in the US to compete with Western artists - globally - yes (in specific countries), but not in the US. So these "kpop" categories (starting with VMAs) were actually beneficial to kpop artists (although xenophobic af, but labels don't care & some kpop artists were pretty happy about them...). But the only limit BTS, the ones affected are only BTS - speaking number-wise & in the US, because it excluded them from major categories & they had the numbers... *"General idea" 😆 Please, kpop in general is not original. Of course, there are exceptions, but kpop industry is corrupt just as much as the American if not a little bit more based on originality. At least S. Korea has indie music that's the jewel of this country & I consider BTS as part of that culture because they have more in common musically with indie artists that this awful kpop industry. I completely agree with your comments on "the growing part", but u have to consider that, unfortunately, kpop big companies do NOT allow artistic freedom (with few exceptions), and if u don't have that, well you're just not an artist. BTS actually made an opportunity for kpop small labels to debut small groups and achieve big results because of the way that was paved and also the way to promote. It will be years before the kpop industry clears itself from the dirt... *The hiatus was a political move only. S. Korea is known for corruption regarding to evading military, a lot of kpop idols from big labels older than BTS are evading military service, not to mention the current President didn't go as well... And all of this is a fiasco to promote the military and BTS unfortunately are the scapegoats that were chosen because of their influence. Because let's say it - why exempt sports teams and whoever u want, BUT not exempt the group that actually contributes BILLIONS to your economy? Simple - promote the SK military because there was an obvious downfall there in last years... And the worst is that they didn't let BTS know any of that, they used them for political debates, although they were willing and prepared even before the pandemic. *MJ comparison - MS's cousin is a fan of BTS and he always says his uncle would be proud and their message is similar, he's a fan.

It was HORRIBLE. They weren't even ugly! ANd their music was great!!! Please check out their music. I loved "Fire", "Lonely", "I am the Best", and "Ugly". YG really used them up and then threw them away after he started training BlackPink. That's why I'm kinda concerned for BlackPink since YG is working on younger girls groups now too. And I hope BlackPink goes to a company that will allow them more creative freedom because I know they're talented, but they don't get more chances to show it.

    Your thoughts on the labels being unfair to their groups is true. The groups work hard already and pushing the question "are you the next bts" or" did you achieve what bts achieved" is too much. And Jin, the oldest member of Bts said in like an interview that it's hard for them to make friends because people feel pressured around them. And that's like an insight to what these groups and bts go through because of their label's and the media's greed.

    This is why Boracity puts out so much material on the charts, radio/streaming, award shows (criteria or lack of criteria); basically it's BTS & ARMY against the industry and the industry is shameless in cheating BTS; removing numbers from streams, views, digital & physical purchases. They change the rules for BBMA all the time, to exclude or reduce BTS, Spotify is also very corrupt, removing numbers for BTS but not other, KZread, remove numbers from viewing. This is why ARMY supports BTS, yet they are talked about like they're toxic, but really? Fandoms work together against BTS. Record breaking artists, together and individually but yet the (mainly western) industries don't properly acknowledge them. BTS not playing the payola/corrupt game, so they are constantly targeted to get them off the charts, off the high streaming/viewing, purchasing numbers. You read so much material, they broke this record, that record, consistently compared to the likes of the Beatles, Michael Jackson and more, but really, not good enough for the Grammy's or constantly being pushed down from the BBMA? Very frustrating for sure. I think it's funny for lack of a better word, BTS was pounced on by K Pop, for "copying, school boy outfits, copying concepts", constantly harassed and accused of plagiarism, but now that BTS is on top and others are following their trend, it's not so bad, it's a coincidence (I'm sure some are), it's just that BTS went through hell in the early years. It's crazy how much BTS is used too, some group(s) constantly attach themselves to BTS either by lists in streaming, fake pictures and in every way, I won't mention but yah, clearly they cannot go without attaching themselves to BTS. Can keep going, but will end here. Thank you for sharing.

    @@Jing_Ling_Uncles uhh what makes you think they don't have much control? SM groups maybe, but even recent groups like NCT, the rappers write their own raps which is pretty much all the musical contribution BTS makes in OT7 albums like LY or MOTS. Stray Kids have more creative control than BTS. This is not hate obviously. But unlike BTS who are given concepts and keywords (eg: Bang PD gave all the boys their wings solo keywords and titles, he was the one who came up with the idea of Blood Sweat and Tears as the title track, he came up with the Jungian concept of MOTS), SKZ comes up with all their concepts, lyrics, song titles, flow of the album etc. Furthermore, SKZ is much more involved in actually producing the music (the instrumental) of their songs and composing the melodies, whereas BTS members (usually Suga) are credited once or twice per album. Other groups that have MORE control over the creative process than BTS, or as much, are BAP, Block B, IKON, WINNER, Big Bang, Mamamoo, ATEEZ, Monsta X, Gidle, Cosmic Girls, Seventeen, Shinee's Jonghyun and Minho, Young Posse, G-Dragon, and TOP. These aren't obscure groups, they are some of the most popular K-Pop groups, most of which are from the Big 3.

    They won’t because they will loose money unless they are signed to their label. (Radio is pretty much payola at this point or they change rules to at any random time to make a certain song not make it high in the charts or they let the song on the top of chart for the first week but not a second week or they don’t want people that aren’t from their companies get on top of the charts too much)

    @@thegeekoutgirl I agree I wish other songs would be played. A lot of people think that America in general doesn’t like song that isn’t in English but I think people fail to realize that because of the music industry in the USA we don’t hear songs in other languages hardly ever. So people aren’t use to it. I don’t think the general public in the west hate songs not in English just they have been exposed. Idk I say this because I see people talk all the time how Americans or the west hates song not in English, etc. when they don’t realize it isn’t we hate different languages just haven’t been exposed. @@amberpearce710 In my experience, people "hate" or are averse to what they don't understand. It's a matter of being willing to be open-minded and unfortunately, a lot of the people I've met in the US, who are monolingual and mono-cultured, are very resistant to things they do not understand or are different. Which is why I've seen and had to grow up with people who found my language, food, or appearance strange and different and a reason to be ridiculed for. That is why I've always been for getting more diversity in the US media, whether it be movies, tv, and/or music ever since I was a kid. And I'm happy to see that BTS plays a part in that as well as other recent movies and etc. ^__^

    Most k pop groups don’t create their own music, not even their own looks or even their own personalities. So the company is the boss. What they say the group follows. New jeans is not under BTS label, they are under the HYBE corporation but not their label. BTS success was due to their hard work and because their label big hit wanted them to create their own music and to grow. TXT is also under BIG HIT. big hit label only have 3 official artists under their label. Again HYBE is the corporation. Their are many music labels that are part of the HYBE corporation

    True. But the other labels are not necessarily bad either. Seventeen is probably the most self-made group in the Idol Industry - even more that BTS (the label is just not that good at promoting). Le Sserafim are involved in their music: there are some lines and a member has already 3 solo songs despite the group being only 1 year old. They still have a lot to learn but than they weren't part of music creation like Namjoon and Yoongi before either - those with experience had been tought to perfrom but not to create before. Enhypen seems like a performance group. but the lyrics are actually a very good description what it is like living as an Idol. (they are under BELIFT - which only belongs ca. 50% to HYBE) Tricky to describe because I'm not following closely. bby gang mag "you are wrong about K-pop" is actually very good. And thank you you for mentioning what HYBE actually is: People are always so angry that HYBE cares so much about money when that is literally their job (that and cordination, the minuta of any company, the books etc.) and artist, music and promotion is with the individual labels. You nice! Keep going! 💜

    Again many k pop groups don’t have any say in their music , nor their characters, nor their looks etc. so it could be these companies are trying to copy BTS. And most of new jeans ( if not all) are not written by them. Even their concept and personalities were created by the ceo of their label.
