Bopping The Changes Ep.2

Музыка

Hi everybody and welcome to Bopping the Changes.
Bopping the Changes is a series of lessons designed to help you master the Bebop Language.
In this Ep.2 I’d like you to consider reprogramming your mindset when it comes to improvisation. I’d like you to think: Don’t practice scales. Practice ideas.
Recorded with a handmade semi hollow-body guitar built by IS Guitars through a Pod Go by Line6

@@viniciusperez6509 You covered this so well. This gives me much to practice. If I had to pick something it would be maybe an analysis a Sonny Rollins solo, such as Every time we say goodbye. I’ve transcribed the first part of the solo and am having trouble making sense of how what he is playing relates to the chords underneath.

@@djmileski thanks for your compliment, really glad you enjoyed it. As to Sonny’s solo; that’s a great topic. I’m going to have a look at it and see what I can came up with. All the best.
