frustrating, almost felt like the opponent made up their own rules as they went.

Square Enix messed up with this game, opponent had access to all of their cards, meanwhile we get limited access.. you literally have to keep restarting and hope the AI fumbles and you get a lucky card set-up.

You get to keep any left over cards after end of each round. Discovered this on attempt 8 with this deck. couldn't get any good starts.

Same here this was the one thing I can’t complete in chapter nine well and the crunches cuz I suffered a lot on the pull up trophy and I’m still traumatized

I just did this 5 minutes before this post, finished the card game with 55 points. >_> I still agree with anyone's disapproval for this section of the minigame.

Just done this with a score of 63, I just didn't use any cards on the first two rounds then I had my full deck to go on round 3, Ifrit and Loveless plus other boosting cards get you there nicely.

Did a total of 8 retries and finally got 61. This is surprisingly manageable as compared to other harder mini games.

This strategy would be nice if I got the starting hand in the video every time. Or if the computer opponent followed the same pattern as shown. I've replayed this dumb match for three hours and it has never once followed this pattern.

Do you have to get all target scores for the platinum? I finally got a clear but didn't win the last round. The last round is fucking bullshit.

Thats a great strategy!!! I just got 65 points, i think the best thing to do is, in the first round get the 2 cactuars and shiva in the same position untill you win at least 2/3, the second round just throw the cards but if you know you cant win, let the rival throw all and doesn’t matter how much points you get, because in the third round you want to trow the strongest cards you have in the buffers on the table, that way is easier i think In resume, do the exact same thing he does in first round, in the second save your strongest cards and let him win it, in the third, throw it all!!! Best of luck to all!!!

Basically keep restarting until Shiva is in your starting hand. What a load of crap.

*THIS* is the one that scared me away from playing the card games in the Gold Saucer. It was one of the only *unlocked* ones, and it's one of the hardest to beat, out of all of them. Square should've made the 1st couple available matches the easier ones. This match is a major turn-off if it's your first match there. By the look of the comment section here, most everyone else doesn't like it either.

The amount of you that don't understand the rules and think the game is cheating you is baffling. Yeah this is hard as shit but it's the same rules for both sides lol. Cards carry over between rounds if you don't use them

Honestly it’s baffling how ridiculously childish some of this fanbase is. The moment they encounter difficulty suddenly the game is trash and poorly designed. Its in the comments of any video with difficult content. Feels like none of these people complaining have played any card games like YuGiOh or Magic. QB is nothing comparatively in difficulty. RNG is inherently part of card games by design 🤦🏻‍♂️
