at 50.33 I am not sure how you ended up at 25x/2400 but the total does not exceed 2000 even after the mistake you got the right answer. It would have been great if you explained it

he wrote speed/distance but time is equal to distance /speed , so if u take lcm of 200,400,600,800 its equal to 25x/2400

It was supposed to be x/200 + x/400 + x/600 + x/800. So, in that way if we will take Lcm of 200, 400, 600, 800 it will come out to be as 2400. Then solution will be 12x+6x+4x+3x divided by 2400 which will result into 25x/2400 Then the value of total time will be x/96. Put this value in total distance/ total time you will get the answer as 384.

We need to simplify the equation as: 540-S-L=9x+9y i.e. 540-S-L=9(x+y) we know x+y=10, so 540-90=S+L, S+L=450 and average = 225. Hope this helps.
