Harvey in 2000 I worked for Cosworth Racing. We would pickle our Indy car engines. This means draining the meth out and replacing it with gas. Because of the corrosion. Then when your ready you drain gas and fill with meth. Flush the system after use. Most people don’t do this and results in failed fuel system.

Hey, I'm pretty new to the rear transaxle game for sand cars/rails etc and I have a ton of questions, and I'm sure the audience rolling in from Cleetus and BB do to. Can you make a video outlining the options? There were only so many types ever made and knowing what works best and how it works would be great. Some questions I have are: -Why not use a FWD transaxle? Weight bias? Too wide? -I heard you mention the 091 bus trans and looked it up, a company called weddle mentioned that an 094 had advantages, true? -Do you have to flip VW transaxles upside down to make them point the right direction? Anything you need to modify to make them work in this application? -Does anyone use Porsche transaxles? -I've heard on Mendeola/Rancho transaxles, but also heard Cleet ask about them being a bit on the weak side. Are they not so great or just fine in the spec'd power range? Hope this gives you some video ideas, sand cars are super awesome but most car guys can know a ton about cars and still know nothing about building for the sand. I'm one of them.

an intank pump usually runs cooler , they usually are submerged so theres less change if it taking a long time to prime theres allso less chance of the pump getting damaged by dust sand mud watever the terean trows at it might be a good idea to use an off read semi (dessert oilrig) truck filter these usually have some sort of cyclone thing in there to keep the worst of the dirt away from the filter element im not sure how the jumping and shaking will disrupt that type of filter

This was built as a show car and not with the power level it currently has i come from a sprint car racing background and seeing some monster crashes i would love to see more triangulation in that roll cage / chassis as i truly don't believe it will hold up if something happens and he yard sales it .

I understand your analogy about needing water, but you literally need water to live. Regarding things like auto parts, if there is a business right next door that doesn't have something divisive flying right out front, I'd go there. He's losing business whether he knows it or not. Some people don't want business from Democrats. A gun store I used to frequent has a sign on their door saying "If you voted for Biden, we don't want your business" LOL. OK.
