Just got a g2 and it have a I7 9700k with a 2080 super hybrid so im glad I found you. As sim racing is all i do. And your system is almost the same. Ne watching a. Bunch if bids tonite lol just got my m10 Simagic wheel with Gt4 rim and dome simcraft pedals ready to dial it all in but its going be easier with you settings to go by as far as games.loom forward to the binge watching.lol

Thanks again for your comprehensive videos. I have a 3080 and would like to share that I’m getting better results without reprojection. I also can’t complete 2 laps without the G2 or steam vr crashing. Seems like reprojection was a lot more stable 3 months ago. Anyway I have 75-90fps with 65%SS , 100% in all in-game resolution, and high settings

Try using motion vector instead of auto in the wmr SteamVR reprojection setting in the graphics tab I think - auto is causing bugs ( u can follow instructions for that in the AMS2 video

@@vressentials You're right. It crashes while switching. Anyway, how do you hide the indicator lights. The following doesn't work "motionReprojectionIndicatorEnabled": false Reinstalling wmr and steamvr didn't help either

Got any tips, to get decent fps in Project Cars 2 during night races. It's bad enough that the game has a horrible sparkling shimmering at night and combine that with terrible fps drops, it's not a very impressive. Unfortunately can't avoid the night races in the Campaign.

I think follow the same principles, I might do a video in the future, but Automobilista will be next in the space of Sims/Graphic settings.

Does this script work with any headset or only WMR? I'm using a Quest 1 and wonder if it could help me

hello I didn't understand, in the txt you use steamVr at 50% but in the video I use it at 20% or 40.

Once u load the graphic VR60 file in game u have to make sure u click apply at the bottom of the screen otherwise it don’t load and wen u leave the options menu it would revert back to original setting, also if u don’t hit Apply button after loading the VR60 file, wen u restart it won’t be saved... make sure the apply button is pressed.......

Hi VR Essentials - I was wondering if you know what could that be. Recently while playing ACC I get interrupted in the middle of the race and I get the message "input is currently being directed to the desktop Win + Y". That immediately kills the steam vr and throws me out of ACC. In the Windows Mixed Reality in the Input switching I have Manual Switching set up but that didn't help with anything. Do you have an idea how to fix it?

Make sure u have enough batteries in ur Controllers and avoid touching the front or top of the headset seems to do that effect for some reason I found.

@@vressentials considering this is ACC my both controllers are off and I do not touch the headset as both of my hands are on the steering wheel. I have been using acc with reverb g2 since day one I got it and I have been running it with your graphics changes for good few months now. The problem started to appear just around two weeks ago out of nowhere

@@GUN69_ mmm could be a driver issue, try setting SteamVR reprojection to Motion Vector instead of Auto if that's the case...I don't have a steering wheel so not able to recreate the issue....if all fails deleting the game from ur cpu and re-installing it..see if someone can help on Reddit also

@@vressentials I did some digging and I think I probably sorted it out. Did the racing session yesterday and today with no issues at all. I will post here what I have tried (and didn't work out for me) and what was the solution - for all these people who might end up here looking for the same answers. I have tried: - uninstalling Steam VR and install it again - uninstalling Windows Mixed Reality for Steam and install it again - uninstalling Assetto Corsa Competizione and install it again - uninstalling Portal and install it again - downgrading nvidia drivers to older ones from the time when I had no issue - clean installation of newest drivers - switching off any overclocking on my machine None of these above worked for me. What worked was to switch from Beta to None version on both Steam VR and Windows Mixed reality for steam apps. That has helped me

Have you switched on WMR reprojection? The FPS Tools will say 45fps but its actually rendering other frames on top...it just won't tell you it is...

@@vressentials yup i did, but yeah that figures cause at 45 it was actually very smooth, just recently saw i was at 90hz also, lowered it to 60hz but havent tested it yet

I’m using the HP G2 on a 2070 with The original Assetto Corsa, no matter what I do the anti-aliasing is really bad. Any idea how to fix it?

AC with a G2 requires at minimum 3000p SS in SteamVR to begin to eliminate jaggies. The rtx 2070 is realistically not powerful enough for sim racing on any title with crisp picture quality on a G2. You might get away with 60hz. Good luck.

I believe there are ways to improve there ...also reprojection should help...there are tips I show in the reprojection acc graphics settings video u may want to look at.

I just bought the HP VR G2 today from Walmart. Bank called and asked me if I was forced into buying it and then asked about a 87 dollar purchase from steam. I said yes I was forced through way too much fun

I also own a 3080. Unfortunately current gfx hardware is not powerful enough for a G2 in most sim racing titles without making some extreme compromises like 60hz. Only AC is doable at this point. You'll have to wait for next gen. Good luck.

I wasn't expecting VR games to be so demanding, I was also a bit naive about how high a resolution I'd be able set even with a RTX3070. I have just decided I will have to put up with ASW for the Quest 2. ASW 90hz / 45fps actually feels pretty good and it's the compromise I'm willing to take, so that I can play a pretty high resolution. Blurry VR SIM games, just isn't very enjoyable for me.

@@dark1810 Not on a G2 unless its only day driving and at 60hz unfortunately. ACC on the other hand works in all conditions day/night/sunset/rain at 100% steamVR SS at 60hz.
