We are dispersed camping in the Shawnee National Forest in our off-grid tiny home on wheels. This time we are in a secret spot on a beautiful creek. We go for a sunset bike ride from camp along the creek. The next morning Banjo Joe tries to recreate "The Cowboy", a delicious breakfast we had from our time on The Chief Ladiga Trail from last week's episode. It was that good! Then we head to LaRue Pine Hills to do some Gravel Biking in the hills. The route offers great views of the wetlands below the bluffs and the sunset.

Yeah it really is and we are so grateful to have the Shawnee National Forest.
Beautiful sunset at Pine Hills. Keep on sharin with us. You need to go to the top of Fountain Bluff above the Mississippi River.
Great footage of the hills and bottoms. Nice views through there. Keep on ridin'!

I'll be hiking the Red Cedar Trail at Giant city state park in a couple weeks for a over night hike, but I'm gonna have to check this place out sometime!

Camped and mule rode that area for many years. What brand and model of camera do you have. Pics are super clear. ENJOYED!

Thanks. We mainly use our iPhones and we also have a GoPro and a canon rebel.
Great video! I'm heading to Shawnee Natl Forest to boondock in my Chevy Astro for a few days. Is it pretty easy to find spots to post up? Also, I'll be solo out there, so is it all pretty safe?

It is safe. The spots are far and few between compared to other forests. There is free camping at tower rock on the Ohio river.

There is a pay station at the entrance. Self check in.
I live really close to there. Used to drive across that bridge all the time. Its really sad they never replaced and they never will. I actually saw you guys on your bikes and saw you parked at the pine hills entrance!
