I couldn't help make the comparison in my own mind, when I heard that video clip of President Obama singing Amazing Grace. It's difficult not to recognize that America had one of it's best presidents, followed by it's worst. The two men stand in sharp contrast of one another---with one president emulating the best that America has to offer, and the other representing its very dark underbelly.

And when he stood up there and said what he did and start singing it wasn't about him. It was about their children! And their parents and their loved ones and everyone who lost them children! That was what it was about! Barack Obama just happens to be a compassionate man! He has a big heart and he's compassionate! There's nothing wrong with that! @Joe smith well, if I were you I wouldn't call yourself stupid! My opinion is you were smart to vote for former president Obama! But since you admitted that the only reason you voted for him was so you could show you wasn't racist! Sounds to me like you voted for him for the wrong reason! Barack Obama was a great president just like he's a great man! Sounds to me like you wanted to do what you felt was in your heart! Government is ugly no matter what level! The FBI was in the town I lived in I think for almost 3 years. Corruption in the sanitary department! President Obama did help the poor! With Obamacare, which took him seem like forever to get it through the Senate! But he never gave up that's another great quality he has! Doesn't fold easily he had no scandals in his administration in his tenure of 8 years! Well I'm not mistaken he had the Bell the other way industry out! You know I'm an independent, and I like to believe that I have faith in myself to make a decision! He could have done a lot more if you're probably can party wouldn't have blocked him once everything you wanted to do! Which Mitch McConnell I seen it on a video stood right there and said he's not going to take up any bills, right back I believe there was a stack of them on his desk in the Senate and he would not even pick them up and look at them! As far as helping the rich, they don't need any more help! They can take care of themselves! And I myself, don't care what the color of anyone's skin is! If you're wrong you're wrong, if you're right you're right! If you do wrong you deserve the consequences! I was raised that way! I grew up in the '70s, the old school way! But I still believe in that way! She break the law you need to pay for it no matter who you are no matter what color skin you have or how big you're a bank account is!! You do right, you deserve to be praised & rewarded!! That's the trouble with society nowadays, things seem to be asked backwards as my mother used to say! No one or nobody will ever make me believe that right is wrong and right! To get on there topic of substance, I got to think about that one for a minute because substance is a great quality! It goes towards the character! And character determines integrity! That's just my opinion! I remember my mother years ago telling me, if we knew what went on in our government behind closed doors it would make her hair stand up! And I remember the day that John f Kennedy was assassinated I was 8 years old! My mother was devastated! And I know she wasn't alone! And yes John f Kennedy had his share of affairs, but he was human! None of us are perfect! We all make mistakes! That's how we learn! And sometimes some of us will make the same mistake over and over and Never learn!! But he wouldn't have carried on in the oval office! Bill Clinton disgraced that office! He just straight to his wife and his daught and our great country!!

Yeah there's a lot of errors in that comment! I have rheumatoid arthritis and I use the talk n text!! And to tell the truth I just wasn't paying attention to see if it was typing what I was saying because a lot of times I'll start talking faster and then it gets confused!! Just like a minute ago I wasn't even done with the comment and I must have hit the wrong button! Which I do a lot I'll have to admit that! But these cell phones are also touchy very touchy! I didn't even want a touch screen phone! My grandkids insisted, so I finally said yes! Then in 2013 my oldest granddaughter said, "" mammaw u need a Facebook"" I said no I don't need a FB!! But am I ever grateful that she didn't listen at that time!! Most of my friends I graduated with are on Facebook!! And I'm so glad I can keep in touch with them!! 💜🙏

When Senator Obama was running for the office of president, I was not very political. I liked Senator Obama but I didn't really know that much about him. I considered myself an Independent. I knew a lot about Senator McCain and noticed that whenever there was any kind of big issue in the Senate, everyone asked for Senator McCain's opinion. So after a lot of thought, I voted for Senator McCain. After Senator Obama became president, I was thrilled to see what a great choice the country had made. I absolutely fell in love with him and his family and I became a huge fan. Seeing all he went thru and how outrageous many of the Republican party treated him in such a disgraceful way, I decided I definitely was a confirmed Democrat. That is when I made my decision it was time for me to become more informed. I love this man! Such an amazing person.

I am a member of Obama's former church, Trinity United Church of Christ and I had previously witnessed the motivational power of his speeches. The first time, he came to my mom's church, Faith United Methodist Church, when he was still Illinois state senator; he spoke at a Men's Day event. The second time I heard him speak was at my cousin's high school graduation, he gave the commencement address. During both speeches, he inspired the audiences to challenge themselves to make their families, communities and their nation a better place, by getting involved in Every aspect of the development and maintenance of those entities. Barack Hussein Obama, continues to be a gifted motivational speaker.
