Mark Twain is wonderful! Huckleberry Finn is a beautiful story about two boys from very different worlds becoming friends. Becoming upset at the vernacular of the times is looking for an excuse to be angry today. Our anger does not change how the world ran in the 19th century.

I’m so glad this show features Mr Everett’s James-I’ve been eager to hear Steve’s opinion on it since he featured it in a mail haul in mid January. Thank you, CPL Radio, for putting this strange and wonderful show on the air.

Hey.. yes, I appreciate the book covers displayed on the screen. Also, enjoyed the insight about James. I’m looking forward to Book Chat With Pat’s up-coming discussion about it :) A quick mention about a book from last week. I was drawn to ‘Sanctuary of the Shadow’ by Aurora Ascher due to the cover 🎪 However, in researching, I’d say you’re definitely purchasing the book with that one. What’s more- I’d suggest removing its dust jacket. Thanks for the endless laughter and fun, gentlemen!

My bad on that one. Had to rush this one to press, as they say. Fer Pete's sake, don't tell Steve! He'll fire me...again!

Thanks for doing this! I always hope I'll get around to putting up a list of our books but library life yanks folks in many directions!

This was great. It has a good balance, but if you could squeeze in more than 5 books in the second segment it would be even better.

I loved Twain's Huck and Jim and Everett's James and Huck. I think it would be fascinating to take a class discussing them both.

Great episode -- happy to year Steve enthuse about _James_. My copy has yet to cross the pond, but re-reading Huck Finn in the meantime is a great idea
