    I submit that man pages suck (for the most part). They should all be rewritten to have examples at the top like the ones tldr gives. For example, just look at the man page for 'cd'; the description section is like a full page and a half, which is only then followed by the 2 option switches and their meanings. It rarely helps to just dump all the information about a command. It's better to give information with some context starting with basic use-cases and building complexity. Having finished my rant, one man page everyone should start with after basic navigation is 'hier' since it helps you learn how the filesystem is laid out. Then you'll generally know where to find things.
