My first trip to St Andrews to see Birmingham was in 1955 with my dad when I was three. I've spent nearly 70 years following the Blues with more pain than pleasure to speak of... So please go easy on us next season...It would be nice to get back into the top flight just one more time before I die...Keep Right On.....

As a Birmingham fan I have no illusions about next season. There are some good clubs in Division 1 and it would be a fool who underestimates them. I hope for a quick return but won't be taking that for granted.

I don't trust Huddersfield But If Birmingham doesn't get promoted it will be a shame as If Leicester didn't get promoted in the Championship, they could have gotten Midtable or Top 16 without suffering... Meanwhile Huddersfield will get a 5th (and suffering for most of the season, on Matchday 42 they might be even out of the play-off zone) and get out in the Play-Off semis.

As a huddersfield fan I’m very hopeful with the appointment off duff and also the backing of the owner however we clearly had problems last year but honestly I just want some good away days with some wins

Reading fan here, 100% agree with this prediction of us. I want to back us for promo but this is a stupidly strong league one season

Wxm fan genuinely hoping we end up comfortably in mid table this next season, then add to the team for the following season and push on from there. The club just isn't ready for the Champ yet. We still haven't got our own training ground - admin, retail etc not at the right level yet - not to mention the ground (the new kop stand still nowhere near starting because of various hold-ups) A year or two in L1would benefit the club in the long run...especially if there was a dramtic heartbreak in the play-offs along the way to keep the doc fellas happy 🙃

Yeah, I think this will be more of a consolidation season, with the big promotion push coming next time around. There's too many player changes and any new players coming in will need time.

League 1 looks so strong next season. All of the new teams from the championship and league 2 look strong!

So glad we beat the drop because I don't even think we would have made the play offs

If we keep Mowbray, we go straight back up in my opinion. We have new owners who yes, have had a torrid first season but we are finally shipping off lots of dead wood this summer and can finally fully rebuild with potentially, the biggest budget that L1 has ever seen. Without Mowbray, I am less confident but still think we will be at least top 6 but as you said, sometimes L1 or the Championship can throw up incredible surprises so we will have to see.

L2 was a different world to the NL, we're coming up with a L1 squad, we've got rid of the L2 players, we'll replace them with Championship quality, only Birmingham will match our spending power in L1.

My clubs (Birmingham) success will all depend on a summer of recruitment. There’s will be at least ten players leaving, so we’ll be busy in the transfer market. And now Mowbray has stepped down (hope he gets fully well asap) we need to appoint a manager.

As a Huddersfield fan, I’d be very happy with top 6.. just got in quite a strong manager and will have money to spend 👍 looking forward to the season coming up

Wrexham supporter here, we went down to non league, thought we'd be straight back up, spent 15 years down there. No guarantee that relegated teams go straight back up. Birmingham beware.

Bookmakers are hot on Wrexham to take advantage of the hype and therefore make money. I think they'll be that 6-9 range. Maybe slide into playoffs, maybe not.

Stockport Fan. I would be very happy with a top 10 finish. But it wouldn't surprise me if we did scrape into the playoffs Great setup. Great owner. Great manager.

Feel more comfortable as a town fan now we've announced the new manager, gonna be a huge upheaval this summer so could see us not going promoted at first time of asking but if we recruit sensibly we should be up and around there

As an imps fan I think we could get play-offs

As a Birmingham city fan, I’m not used to seeing us win many but from what I heard the club is having a complete overhaul of new players. Do I think we’ll finish 1st? Maybe but we’ll be signing a whole starting 11 pretty much which will take time for the players to fit in. Top 6 is a more likely scenario but i wouldn’t be surprised if we do finish mid table. Of course if we keep onto a few of the recent signings we’ll have a good season but my expectations are low to moderate.

Huddersfield Town fan, I'd love an immediate return but our club needs a massive overhaul. I think with Duff in charge we will probably achieve play offs as a more realistic target.

Im a Sheff Weds fan, but I'll be cheering on Mansfield next season. C'mon Stags!

I think its because the bookies know they will buy 3-4 Championship level players in the off season

This is the bookies predictions partly based on form partly based on bets placed or potential bets placed. As a Wrexham fan I'd be happy with a year of consolidation ready to go again the year after but thats not in R&R's play book so who knows

Top 6 for me includes Birmingham Bolton/Oxford Barnsley Peterborough Stockport Wrexham

As an Exeter fan I’d take anything above relegation as this league is where we need to be but I think we are definitely capable for a high mid table finish like 10th-12th with good recruitment

If we get recruitment right this summer I can see us getting top 4 . I hope we get automatics but it’s so unclear at the minute .

As a Brewers supporter can't really argue with that. Hope I am wrong but we need a big shake up if we are to finish in mid table.

Perhaps people should hold fire until Blues announce their new manager, especially given their owners previous attempts at hiring 'managers'. There is a decent chance they screw it up again and they are languishing in lower-mid table before they know it They need to get it all sorted soon as because pretty much every other team they'll take on next year has already had a couple of extra weeks of preparation

Huddersfield fan. We could go both ways very realistically. Our chairman has vowed to back us in the transfer market to bounce straight back up, but a lot of town fans have become disillusioned with the running of the club. If the circus continues, we could quite easily struggle and go down again. If the club gets it act together, we could win the league. Im not holding my breath, though. Birmingham have been struggling at the bottom of the championship for years and could be in a similar position to us. I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of wrexham and stockport finish above us both. The size of the club doesn't matter at this level. Confidence and momentum does. I pedict we'll finish 5th

I think next season will be a consolidation season for Wrexham. They'll probably make it to the playoffs. But they've released several regular members of their first team, including the captain, so have to rebuild over the summer. And we all know that new players take time to gell. Wrexham's biggest problem in the past three seasons has not been scoring goals, it's been keeping them out at times. They need to find a new keeper as well. Apart from a temporary blip in form, the loanee from Arsenal was a very good keeper but he's just been released by Arsenal, so you never know. They're just too much of an unknown quantity going into this season for them to be nailed on certs for promotion.
