Thanks! Will do!
What a classic for guitar standards. Bluesy with fashion. Gotta love those chords jabs and the twangy tone
My dad told me if you look up the definition of "cool" in the dictionary you will see "Booker T and the MGs - Green Onions"
Beautiful. Lightning Hopkins is my fav version of Green Onions
This song rocks out. Great lesson, thanks Marty!
marty music literally never fails to teach me
Man I love it. Reminds me of back when my sister was dating a guy that had a practically brand new 67 GTO that we probably almost got killed in that MFER. Those were fun times but I don't miss those 8 track tapes but I enjoyed the heck out of the music of the time. Booker T & The MG's, something like that, was the last 8 track tape I had that finally got so messed up it couldn't be rewound back inside because it was such a spaghetti mess. The music & the hot cars were what that period was all about. Marty I'm really glad you're into this kind of stuff. So glad that since I picked up the guitar again after getting too busy & tied up when I was young, nother story but I'm getting back into it & I've fired my guitar teacher so I'm gonna hire you.😁👍😎
Such a cool tune, such a great lesson!! Thanks Marty 🎸👍
It’s honestly so amazing that the most prolific guitar teacher of all time is such a humble badass. Thank you Marty, you helped me find my passion❤
Time to know how my looping pedal is working 😅 Wow thanks for this one Marty an awsome classic 🎵🎶🎵🎶
Fantastic demo! Thanks for posting. 👍
What a joy to your soul to able to play like you do.😀
I had to learn this song for jazz band and this sped up the process a lot. Thank you Marty!
This is probably the most famous blues song/lick/progression ever.
I love this song!
Thanks Marty for the organ part on guitar and the rhythm parts. Great tune to jam to with a buddy.

Marty, Marty, Marty! Do you ever read the comments section? I'm only wondering because I remember thanking you many years ago for your help with a tricky song. Anyway, here I am to thank you again. I've been playing for years and am self taught. That doesn't make it much easier to figure out those tricky ones though. I knew how to play Green Onions. It was one of the first ones I learned as a kid, or Novice. I did learn a little sumthin from this lesson though. So thank you kindly for that. I'm very happy to see you still at it after all this time. Us music lovers and guitar players will keep on rocking until we are old and grey... Like you and I now 😅. Cheers Marty. I really like everything you do for us guitar students. Novice, intermediate and advanced. You got it bro. Keep up the good work. ✌️ (P. S. I saw Neil Young play up here in Toronto with the MGs as his back up band. It was amazing. What an outfit. They were solid as a rock.) 🎵🎸🤘
There has never been a song in the history of the Universe, that guitar players looked up and wanted to play that Marty didnt have a lesson for. Can we just get this dude into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame now? A true legend who is contributing to the continuation of the art of music, rock and guitar.
Great song! Great lesson. Thanks! :)
Impressive job. Lots of talent here!
Thank you Marty! for once again coming out with one Slick guitar lesson!

Marty trying to emulate SRV emulating Steve Cropper?🤓
@NatureandSpirit111

@@dirkulbricht9985I’m not sure but sounds kinda like SRV’s Pride and Joy. It’s like SRV uses a similar rhythm (probably just typical blues) and borrows the D flat and A flat notes briefly that makes the song more like an F minor key but he plays it in E flat major?
Wwe booker t ?
same frequency again
