@@RealityOfWrestlingI don't understand? I just watched a recent shoot with Dutch talking about the heat between Booker and Ryback and Dutch gave Booker a ton of respect. Spoke very high about him. And I'm pretty sure I heard Booker was praising Dutch for putting him over? Now to be fair I didn't watch this whole clip but from the comments it sounded like they were against each other?
Every time I watch Dutch Man tell talk, he seems to ramble on, and acts like he's searching for things to say. He had told many stories that are well documented, but his always sound different. Booker seems to be a cool guy and pretty humble. He is well respected by his peers in the industry, yet I haven't exactly heard the same about Dutch.

I watch most of the clips they post on Dutch's channel and, whenever he talks about his time in TNA, he usually says he doesn't remember and he was probably in catering. Dutch has a great mind for the business but, I'm going to talk in code here, it doesn't surprise me that he and Booker never "broke bread", so to speak. I believe what Booker said much quicker than I would believe Dutch.

Yeah it was surprising to hear Dutch say those things because all we hear from Dutch is “I didn’t really pay attention in TNA” but somehow Booker was hard to deal with. Maybe it’s because the “office” wasn’t paying attention or just hanging out in catering 😂

@@RealityOfWrestling I'm sure there was a lack of structure, but I'm wondering if both sides could be right? If all of these guys are saying the exact same thing about Booker T (who is my favorite male wrestler of all-time by the way) there just might be some truth to it. These guys can't be making it up, they have nothing to gain. One of the things Russo mentioned is that Booker T did not want to put over the younger talent, and did not want to put over Matt Morgan at all no matter the circumstance.

@@RealityOfWrestling I remember Booker covering that topic, actually a couple times. But then Vince Russo comes out last night and says Booker did not want to put him over no matter what and refuted the notion that Booker would have put him over under certain circumstances. @@RealityOfWrestling Nonsense. In 2006 "King" Booker headlined the 2 lowest drawing WWE PPV's thar year and furthermore, No Mercy (it only did a pathetic 197,000 buys worldwide, which would remain the lowest buyrate until Cyber Sunday 2007, which did just 194,000 worldwide) was the lowests drawing WWE PPV since Taboo Tuesday 2004. Already the PPV he entered as contender, Great American Bash, did bad. In fact it remains the second worst drawing Great American Bash for the WWE. On top of that, he only averaged a crowd of 2,630 as Champion headlining domestic House Shows, which currently puts him as the 4th lowest Champion to do so (After Eddie, who's the worst drawing WWE Champion of all time, Kofi and Reigns) and the Smackdown Rating also declined during his reign, even hitting a 1.9. This isn't surprising, as he also was a rating killer in WCW. Whenever he had the World Championship in 2000, the Nitro rating would take a dip. Every time he lost the belt back to Nash or Steiner, the rating instantly climbed up. And lastly, in 2000, WCW had a research firm analyze all quarter ratings for Nitro and Thunder, including channel switches for the year 1999. Booker ended up as somebody who actively drove people away, for the entire year a total of 704,064 people changed the channel when he appeared. All of this shows that he was a miserable failure, completely overpushed to a fault. A big mistake overall. I know the truth hurts, but try to deal with it 🙃

If Dutch Mantel believes Booker T was difficult to work with in TNA, that's his subjective opinion which he is entitled to based on his experiences. Booker is entitled to disagree. If Booker dislikes people stating their opinion or speculating on what happened during certain points of his career he can be irked all he wants & there's nothing he can do about it other then put across his narrative of the events. I was a TNA fan during that time and fan of Booker T. But there has always been rumblings he was difficult to work with during that time. Meltzer and Keller probs reported on it weekly at time in their newsletters which i could look at now if cared enough and had time. Of course two sides to every story.
